Spate of good news:
1) Foreign worker levy which was up to 50% of operating cost will be borne by foreign worker themselves

2) MY trade figures better than last year. Effect on Liihen, possible increase in revenue and potentially increased profit margin as well

3) trade war to directly benefit MY furniture industry now the 2nd stage of the $200bil tariff is imposed.

My point is this airline industry in general is not a very lucrative business. Low profit margin, high gearing, high capex, high operating cash flow and lots of uncontrollable external factors such as fuel cost, regulations etc. Now coupled with stiffer competition with everyone jumping into the budget airline bandwagon, the competition is going to be stiffer for our beloved AA.
