Interesting that Vietnam still has no death reported from the Covid-19.
Probably their country's population consists of younger people than elderly.
Anyway, back to J@k$, good to know construction is progressing despite the lockdown. Electricity is after all essential category.

Don't look too good for Greatech as China recovered and US & Europe is suffering.
Taken from latest quarter result:
The Group is not swerved by the recent COVID-19 pandemic as the Group’s purchases are mainly from the US and European countries. The Group has sufficient materials to fulfil orders received to-date. China
customers accounted for less than 1% of the Group’s revenue in 2019. We do not foresee any material adverse impact on the Group’s financial performance.

Bad time for airline biz. Worldwide transport are mostly grounded except for cargo for essential items. Low crude oil will helps in reducing the fuel cost.
But majority(90%) of the company's income comes from seat sales and ancillary income.
So you can get some idea of what to expect in the next 2 quarters report.

Still have plenty of opportunity to purchase below 70 cents in view of the current situation globally.
Rarely to be given such privilege. Without this Covid-19 and oil crash, J@K$ would have traded above RM2 with the commissioned of the power plant next few months.

I believe the impact of COVID-19 is bad for Penta. Issues is on raw materials that it needs to build the ATE and AFS comes from China and other countries. Management comments in the quarter report should scare you when they mentioned NOT SURE and still pending assessment.
According to latest quarter report, Penta mentioned as follows:
The outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread throughout China and to countries across the world.
The COVID-19 has certain impact on the business operations of the Group in particular the supply chain from China as well as the delivery and buy-off process of machineries to certain degree, and the degree of the impact depends on the situation of the epidemic preventive measures and the duration of the epidemic.
The Group will monitor the developments of COVID-19 situation closely, assess and react actively to its impacts on the financial position and operating results of the Group. Up to the date of the report, the assessment is still in progress.
Given the dynamic nature of these circumstances, the related impact on our Group’s consolidated results of operations, cash flows and financial condition could not reasonably estimated at this stage and will be reflected in the Group’s 2020 interim and annual financial statements.

Property Biz will be expected to be a drag for the 1st and 2nd quarter result.
The company needs to complete and hand over Pacific Star, else more LAD to come. COVID-19 is now a factor in delaying it also.
Evolve Mall will be another drag if the MCO continues beyond April 2020.COVID-19 is now a factor due to the lockdown of public.
The current stinging issue is the completion of the power plant is postponed to 3rd Quarter of the year(Source Public Invest)
Not sure how the IB comes out with the timeline since no city lockdown yet, only selected biz to close.

I believe more selling waves are coming.
If 90 cent was a buy call, 30 cent was cheap, 10 cent is cheaper.
During crisis, property and construction company normally don't do well as individuals or company would not be spending money to buy homes, factories and commercial lots.
Unemployment and retrenchment will be only thing that are in the minds of individuals or companies.

When come to World Crisis, even good fundamental stocks will also be affected as compared to less fundamental ones.
The difference between the two is that the fundamentally backed stocks will mostly survive the crisis while the others will likely become penny stocks and PN17.
Choose wisely.

Even though they are cleared of the bribery. The company has another hurdle to clear. It seems likely that Airasia and other airline worldwide will likely face cashflow issues next month if travelling is still grounded. With overhead fixed cost and dragging revenues will be a concern. I'm not surprise if the airlines will be pleading from the government to bail them out.

Crisis come and go. If you look into the history for as far as 50 years ago, many crisis came but left. Only the fittest survive. Many stocks globally as at today are still standing if you choose the right one.
Whether J@K$ is one of them, the criteria lies when the power plant completion is at 100%. Of course this company has a history of not completing on time(whatever the reason), this is the risk one has to take if you are purchasing now.
@ SarifahSelinder
You have a valid point that the company should do well. It should as Vietnam is currently energy hungry. The power plant is a great contribution of the company's future earnings.
Following DK66 comparison with Mong Duong II and Vinh Tan 1, the numbers are impressive. However, the numbers can only pour in when the power plant is 100% completed and commissioned. I believe you won't disagree with this statement. Meanwhile, accumulate more at discounted price to support DK66.

Try using USD2.1cent instead and exchange rate of RM4 to USD1.
Yours is a little too optimistic.

Can see everyone is quite focus on the current quarter results.
I think the power plant results from the new income stream would superceed the property biz once the power plant is fully commission and running at its optimal capacity.
This power plant should generate income more stable than MFCB as MFCB will encounter dry season.
Besides, we know Vietnam is another manufacturing power house after China and needs stable source of energy.
Additionally, due to the trade war between China and US, many manufacturers had diverted their plants over to Vietnam.
Note: Most info can be found on CNN, CNBC, etc

Are all the newly developed power plant in Vietnam between 2010-2019, running at maximum capacity?
If the power plant do not run at max capacity, the tariff payment does not offset the balance of the plants unutilised capacity?
Kindly elaborate as I couldn't recall if you had write of this items previously.
