Hexza won't go bust, that is for sure. It has 75 million cash and another 75 million in share investment. At 90 sen a share, you are just paying 15 sen for Hexza's business.

No bank should be trading at a PE of 10. If investors re-rate RHB and decide one day that it should have a PE of say 13, then it will trade at RM6.50.

It is clear that investors didn't like the proposed merger between RHB Bank and AmBank. Six months ago, RHB and CIMB were at about the same price level. Today CIMB is more than 30% higher.

Those who were brave enough and bought at below RM4.80 recently have made some money.

Before a company can be taken private, it must have the approval from shareholders controlling at least 90% of Keck Seng's paid up capital. It won't be easy to privatize Keck Seng unless the offer price is way above the market price as the directors and other friendly parties only control less than 65% of KSeng.

Modest recovery but still a long way from its recent peak of over RM 5.50. Hopefully the recovery can last.

Investors are celebrating the arrest of people suspected of being involved in corruption.

Market is worried that a war may break out on the Korean Peninsula. Even after dropping by 560 points at the close, Hang Seng is still up over 19% over the past one year. We are up less than 5.4%.

The profit from the sale of the property in Australia is expected to be around RM346 million. TA should gain RM200 million or more than 11 sen a share from this disposal.

Buy now and collect your 4 cent/share dividend 3 months later. Return of 4% in 3 months, not bad at all.

Much of Keck Seng's plantation land is only a stone's throw away from housing schemes undertaken by EcoWorld and Mahsing. Even in small towns in Johor, such plantation land can easily fetch over RM 600,000 per acre but the land currently has a book value of under RM6,000 per acre.

I don't think Keck Seng has ever paid any special dividend over the past 30 years. The last bonus issue declared by the company was in 2010. There was another bonus issue in 1995, so it is just once in a blue moon that Keck Seng declares a bonus issue. The directors will of course get their bonuses every year.

Keck Seng is expected to incur foreign exchange losses amounting to RM20 million during the second quarter if its holdings in foreign currencies remained unchanged.

Keep for one year, should have at least 10% net return.

Strong rebound from two and a half month low. Hope it can continue.

Those who had subscribed and allotted LCTITAN shares have now lost more than 30% of their capital. What a pity. If the company had not lowered the IPO price from RM8 to RM6.50, investors would have lost much more. Small investors feel they have been fleeced.

L&G doesn't have so much cash today. As at 31 March 2017, it had RM390 million cash, RM91 million in borrowings and RM58 million dividend to be paid. Its cash in hand should be around RM 241 million now.

No more two sen final dividend again as some optimistic investors had hoped.
