Members of my family are hard core supporters of UMNO and they have been voting in UMNO out of sheer respect for Dato Onn, Tengku and the other founding members ( the Malays too have this thing about giving face to someone whom they dislike just like the Chinese ) but not any more, not this time and this sentiments are shares by most of the Johore Malays that I met. When they did the RoS number on DAP, it`s like the last straw broke the camel`s back. We Malays have what you called `harga diri` and we don`t do that even to our opponent. The Johor Malays have grew up and mature.......it`s high time UMNO-BN be put in the federal opposition side, for their own good. And I believe Dato Onn and Tengku couldn`t have agreed more with me on this.......

Karpal ticks off Dr M: APOLOGIZE OR ...!

GEORGE TOWN-- DAP national chairman Karpal Singh has demanded that former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad retract and apologise for making highly defamatory statements against DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang, who is contesting the Gelang Patah parliamentary seat.

He said Dr Mahathir had made the highly defamatory statements in his blog, entitled 'Chedet', posted on April 11 which referred to Lim as a racist and not respecting the sensitivities of a multicultural society.

"A letter was sent to Dr Mahathir today and he has three days from tomorrow to retract (the statements) and apologise, failing which legal action will be commenced against him," he told reporters in George Town, Monday.

A police report would be lodged against Dr Mahathir over his remarks, he said adding: "Let it be a lesson for politicians during the general election campaign not to descend to personal attacks in the form of defamation and sedition."

Dr Mahathir, in his blog, said that Lim was contesting in Gelang Patah because it had a Chinese majority and was going to play on Chinese sentiments.

Outgoing Johor Menteri Besar Abdul Ghani Othman will take on opposition veteran Lim in the hot seat of Gelang Patah in the May 5 general election.

In the last general election in 2008, the BN's Tan Ah Eng from the MCA retained the Gelang Patah seat with an 8,851-vote majority, defeating PKR's Dr Zaleha Mustafa.

All this while Malaysia could have been a super success with natural resources and capable human capital who we have lost them to Singapore. The latest being Hassan Merican?

We drive ppl who truly capable out of Malaysia including Robert Quok who has contributed tremendously to the country esp Maritime and Aviation. What did they do for him, they took everything fr him and gave to Syed Mokthar. Of course as a brilliant mind in business he is now Asia's sugar king. Najib also under estimated his influence in China and now we are getting a stagnant growth fr their order books. I am sure now with the finish process palm oil and kernel that the king Robert Quok is milking in Indonesia, he would have no regrets moving the business focus there as his ability is well represented and order books can show the real capability of this man.

The inability of DAP not being able to use its own logo stamps from its inefficiency to run and manage party admininstration. Can't even conduct meetings. Then, how do we expect them to run the country when they can't even run party administration?
