Stupid idea. Singapore & HongKong is not implementing capital gains tax on share market.If malaysia started CGT,how it is going to tax on foreign investor who invest in M'sia stock market? This will only make foreign investor run away from local stock market.

Bear in mind, poor & lower income people do invest in stock market. If u tax them on CGT then it's like no different from GST. How would they become rich in via stock investment? This is like discouraging them from investment!

Gov should encourage the poor low income group to improve their financial knowledge instead of just protecting them. We are in an open capitalism market!

Agree... Klse ald neither one of the biggest nor most attractive exchange in Asia... Compare to our neighbourhood Spore we r thousand miles behind.. This tax proposal by PKR really lacks farsight..
