The solution :
The contest that KYY proposed with minimum capital is RM 100K is actually a good option.

I have seen the 5 stocks well diversified portfolio by Felicity.

Whether it wins the competition is immaterial....that is what I call a class A, well diversified portfolio and what professional advisers and CFAs aim for.

its the balance between risk and reward, diversification and returns per beta.

a portfolio that goes from bottom to top within the same year certainly is not what professionals and CFAs aim for in their client portfolios.

If my intention is to win this game, with current rules of limited fund and duration of one year. Then I will go for high risk and high return stock like penny stocks or warrants. You just need to make a few correct guess and you will be most likely crowned the champion for 2017, but so what? No responsible SIFU or Fund managers will recommend this strategy but believe me the probability of winning is very high.
In real investment you need to:
1. Monitor the price moving daily for the TA chart analysis and read through all the comment in i3 investor to gauge the general public feeling on that stock.
2. Monitor the company quarterly report for the FA analysis.
3. Have business senses to know what the company produces and what the products of the company and to which country they sell their products. Then need to monitor daily the commodities price movement, produce price movement, currency movement and country tax structure movement so that you can estimate the company current earning (Sale –Production Cost) and future earnings. Then from this knowledge you can buy more or take profit or cut loss.
Tell me if today crude oil price jump to above USD 100+ who don’t take profit on some of your other stocks and put your money into oil and gas stocks.
4. The people that run the company for you. Are they trustworthiness, had vision for the company or plain cheater. I had to admit I make a terrible mistake and misjudge the people running the Xingquan.
5. Word events that will cause market crash imagine if US declare (Physical war or trade war) war with Russia or China or just a regional war between China and Taiwan. All those Big heartless foreign Fund Manager will quickly dump their share or even short selling not for cutting loss but to make huge future gain because they know everybody will be panic selling and if you cannot top up your margin account the bank will sell it for your no matter how low the price now and how good the fundamental of that stock. I agree with Mr. KCCHONG margin accounts are for those experience and deep pocket players not for general public.

My comment is to stick to whatever it is, I agreed with stockraider.

But my suggestion is to only allow those ID has been registered for sometimes or with certain amount of comments to participate the competition. So many one day ID created to join 2016 stock pick.
