The total net gain from the disposal cannot be awarded fully to shareholders as dividend.
As they disposed off, so are their ownership of the planes.
Airasia will need cash to lease back the planes every year.
1 plane rental cost approximately RM13 mil a year.
Currently, Airasia has more than 200 planes.
That's about RM2.6 billion of rental payment per year.
