From 1998 to 2018 and also 2018 to 2020, Anwar had endured huge pressures and loss of personal liberty. This huge personal sacrifice can only be achieved based on strong conviction, commitment and inner beliefs. Compared to any other politicians, none has suffered more for their conviction than this chap, Anwar.

If pardon, there are still a few more cases to defend. It is not easy and how many pardons can one have in a lifetime ?
Also, if it is true to still need to serve 6 years and it is not easy.
Anyway, most people already expected this coming the day the conviction was upheld. You can refer to old news cuttings.
