It's so obvious that the `takeover bid' was staged and a con game to push the price up. And this is on a bigger scale than what Malaysian Insider did with its story on E&O last month. The important thing is, what will the authorities do about these? Are they just going to wash their hands, saying "technically there was nothing wrong"?... If that's the case, then we will definitley see more of this at BSKL.

What SC should do is to take action against 9tology who is part of the conspiracy and also against C. Unless a company is serious about the takeover bid then should only to b announced. A paid-up capital of RM2 cannot call for offer esp we r talking abt 320++mil.SC should tighten the screw. A company who want to takeover bid must state the funds deriving from and those who sponsor it must signed a Letter of intend of the sponsorship..

Same goes to Harvest and nicorp..the party gaining control must be committed to their words e.g. injecting the properties..SC has take action against those who make announcement based on lip service only. Such announcement can make an impact on the prices. Do not talk for shiok only as many got internal bleeding later. Counter that have sudden increases in prices (big jump) and huge volume should b suspended at least a month to facilitate thorough investigation. This will restrict syndicates of manipulating the market. long suspension can our stress on syndicates cash-flow temporary.

I hope SC will come up with a ruling imposing that those who want to gain control of a company must have their shares lock-in as least minimun 1 year. They are not allow to dospose their shares within 1 year period. This ruling will show the party seriousness of the takeover bid...

Like in SilverBird case..SC should come up with a ruling that in the company's quarterly reports, the company has to give full disclosure of the sudden big jump or decreases in their assets, receivables and liabilities...the audit committee must come out with a statement that the bidgdifferences are above board..and do not wait until a year where worms start to appear and it will be too late esp in the audited report.Prevention is better than cure.
