PRESS RELEASE (Embargo to 5pm, 08th December 2020) INIX becomes an International Glove Supplier under the leadership of Tan Sri Jojo
Petaling Jaya, 08th December 2020: Inix Technologies Holding Sdn Bhd (“Inix”, Stock code 0094) has enter into a memorandum of agreement (“MOA”) with the glove manufacturing group WGI Group (WGI) to acquire a 51% stake in the latter and making it an international glove supplier instantly.
The WGI Group factory is located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The latex gloves and nitrile gloves produced are sold to the United States, Europe, the Middle East, India, Japan, and South Korea. Through this acquisition, Inix is directly promoted to be an international gloves supplier.
Tan Sri Syed Mohd Yusof bin Tun Syed Nasir said, “Covid-19 pandemic has caused a significant increase in global glove demand. Entering the glove industry can not only create sustained and stable profits for the company, but also help all mankind fight the epidemic. It is a forward-looking and meaningful investment.”
Datuk Tan Choon Hwa, Vice Chairman of (陈春华) said, “Inix will pay for the acquisition in cash and issuing new shares. More details of the acquisition will be announced in the near future.”
The Executive Director of Inix, Siva Kumar Kalugasalam said, “We believe that this acquisition which come with international certification will improve our margin for our glove business and make a positive contribution to the group's future profitability.”
WGI Group Chief Operation Officer Goh Poh Seng [吴葆盛] said, “WGI Group is a glove manufacturer with advanced equipment and perfect international sales channels. The three main glove products produced by the group, namely latex gloves, nitrile gloves and surgical gloves, sell well in many countries. Our turnover is RM10 million per month.”
Among the WGI director who was present was Dato’ Dr Lingesh Mari. He has extensive experience in the healthcare field and has more than 20 years of experience in related fields.
Dr Lingesh said, “We have strategic partnership with various manufacturers in Penang and Selangor, which produces rubber and nitrite gloves. We have product certification from Food and Drug Administration of US (“FDA”) and CE certification from Europe.”
Recent development Last Friday Inix inked a Memorandum of Agreement with L&S Gloves Sdn Bhd (L&S Glove) and acquire 51% equity interest of the latter, which is currently in production. This would be Inix's latest manoeuver to penetrate into the lucrative rubber glove industry.
Inix reported to Bursa Malaysia today that L&S Gloves has two production lines in its factory in Beranang which is in production. Inix plans to expand own production up to 14 line in the next one year plus. Total Inix’s investment into this project is estimated to be no less than RM50 million.
Background of Inix Inix itself is an investment holding company. The company is engaged in hardware and software supply, including software development and system integration, books that are engaged in sales, and businesses, including investment holdings and others.
Inix technology subsidiaries include Ansi Systems Sdn Bhd, which is engaged in software development, system integration and book sales. NCSoft Sdn Bhd is engaged in software development, system integration, information technology management, consulting and other related professional services, as well as system integration. Inix mainly focuses on E-commerce portals, new software integration solutions and mobile application functions, and also strengthens some software development, while implementing customer-specific projects.
He use his effort to build up this company, and he saying that he will invest in glove factory few months ago then today is the signing ceremony. I hope this company will give dividend and bonus soon hahaa
