Bahvest's buying pressure wasn't strong enough to push up its price even though its candle was sitting on ema7 between 10:55-10:59, hence it was pushed down to 0.255.
Maybe it will stay this way until closing today. No worries as I'm still in the money :)
You know KK7198, the first thing that comes to mind about horse racing in those days is that in the vicinity of the venue like in KL and Penang, they had some of the best hawker food in town. And what about the races: Oh well the horse gossip and stock market picking, perhaps had the same DNA 😁😁😁
moonslayer, fully agreed about the hawker food in Jln Ampang Race Course where the fish ball noodle is the best in town. Some Malay stalls were equally good like the big and juicy sotong. Same in Batu Gantong.I was involved with horses in 1973 as a small boy n not even a teenager.1974 was good time for the late aussie jockey, Jim Johnson was bagged 99 winners. He , mostly rode for trainer Teh Choon Beng n for Auric Stable.Better stop as it is not relevant here.Btw,Clyde is a friend so you better engage someone for Bahvest Gold.
kk7198, why bother about relevance, no authority to dictate what should and should not be recounted within a virtual free space forum. Noting wrong in having an aside issue while waiting for Bahvest to open up and put on wings in the run home. BTW, its ages ago and its nostalgic considering many whom have already passed away., Also Charles Leck was indentured to Malcom Thwaites, right, since both are Sing based.?Hmm.. Ivan Allan is also. gone. Ah.. Auric stable, could never forget Ten Hugs with its last minute burst in the Penang Governors Gold Cup, ridden by R Rajoo.
Cicakman, Bahvest should make a film issue: buy one hundred lots Bahvest shares get one hollywood film FOC: Mackenna''s Gold starring Gregory Peck. That is befitting, watch how they fight for gold. As usual, Dracula Buncit is represented by the villain.
moonslayer, so sad, R.Rajoo was shot in 1991 in Penang. He was a friend of my close friend. This Ipoh jockey was soft spoken and friendly and mostly rode for Teh Choon Beng as second stringer. Ivan Alan was the the champion trainer then, in early seventies. Les Coleman mostly rode for him. He had many cup winners like Firebrand,Sentak Bulan,Blue Star etc. Alan too was shot but survived and he moved to Hing Kong.Malcom Thwaites was a fanstactic trainer and he too was a champion before the Shirley story in Penang which involved billionaire Boon Siew's son that ended his career. He trained tge unbeatable Star Prince.
Now its like a 40 horse race, Bahvest is sitting in position 33/34, trapped on the rails. Between him and horse 21 ASB is 3 lengths. ( 1 length is 1 mil shares ). So what is he gonna do to weave through the crowded field. With that we adjourned for lunch,,,,,😁😁😁... next change.
KK7198, dont forget Thwaites' He's Dawan with mostly Rick Dominguez riding. Looking back at the scenarios. this profession perhaps is best described by the adage Live by the sword, and die by the sword.
Moonslayer, correct. His Dawan was unbeatale like Star Prince. Ironically, Star Prince was owned by Thwaites before he became a horse trainer. Wow! those were the days!
Woi Income, you serving only rice and chicken today? No vege? Serve us Banana leaf la woi! But dont you just go and pluck banana leaf and just give us open banana leaf without food.😁😁
Jangan malas bro, ini petang Bahvest test the 27.5 km distance. After yesterday's run, about 40 million over shares, today consolidate dulu, taking a breather, look see look see who wants to abandon ship.
Moonslayer, my favourite horse owner was Auric stable which was owned by the Sungs of Hong Kong . They had great horses then, mostly cup winners lije Man of Courage,Best Bold, Ten Hugs,Starman, Ultraman, Sir Toby, Jingle Bell etc. Unfortunately Jerry Sung was shot in KL. A few years later, they all moved back to Hong Kong. Many great owners those days were Tan Sri Amar Wee Hood Teck of Sarawak. Inderaputra which was owned by Sultan of Pahang, Tunku Abdul Rahman, the Indinesian tycoon...can't recall his name, TS Tan Chin Nam , just to name a few
Yeah, the red yellow striped silk of Auric colors. with Irene Pateman in the 80's. Wee Hood Teck was Siapa Rajah, with john Murray or Kevin Donelly on the saddle. Inderapura had Bill Sharp, riding on Camberly, but big money was when S Sairi rode and won the Ipoh 1100 m Straight. OMG, those were fond memories of life's weekends.
moonslayer274, indeed...the best horse from Inderaputra was Chaya Timur which won the Tunku Gold Cup in KL in 1974. I was there too as a primary schokl boy then. My father and uncle were horse racing addicts and I tagged along too. At times,we went to the nearby stables to watch the horses been groomed. Auric also had a great horse in Tien An Mun.Again, those were fond memories of the great days then.
KK7198, by the mention of Amar Wee Hood Teck, that reminds me of Hubline Bhd. I think the son Richard Wee was the pioneer in this Co. Are you aware? Its just that when the name appeared, i felt amused becos that reminded me of the connections of Siapa Rajah.
moonslayer, no idea of Hubline. Never involvoed in this counter. 1974 long distance was dominated by these 4 horses...Firebrand, Chaya Timur2 , Showgirl V and Indian Rebel. Most of the times, these 4 were in top 4 placings.Bahvest Gold is set to become Paititi Gold before spourting wings to challenge overseas.
No interest in Hubline, its just that the name Richard Wee rings a bell. Of Paititi Gold, that was Garnet Bougoure as trainer for Agasam Stables. Paititi Gold's age old pair was Western Union. These were both very powerful mid distance pair.
Oh yes...Agasam is the Indonesian stable. That's great, moonslayer. I know an old racehorse...11 years old and was racing then. Moonbeam was the name. Quite a good bred.Bougoure was also a top trainer too.
Think both of them were exported to USA to continue their careers there. Over here they had to carry maximum weight to run and there were no contender .They won a few races there according to chinese paper.
First job for the new Bv management… go to find until 100kg 👑(allegedly by new management) is found. Failing to find 100kg means that new management is telling lies about 100kg 👑

Whatever it is, take care of your CL/SL point. Capital preservation is very important in trading.
