One thing im curious is this, in terms of PE, TMC life is at 110 compared to average of the healthcare industry of 50-60. Isnt this abit high? What kind of growths do you expect for to pay that price?

Right now it needs to double its profits while price remain the same in order reach industry standard price?

Is there any competitive edge they have that i am unaware about?

Hi Jon there are some briefings by the CEO on the plans for the development of TMC Life. Facilities (beds) are going to be about 4X current in the next year and a bit. Also, learning faculties will be established here & there. These make for a rapidly expanding (growth) company where PE is a fast moving target so not really practical to compare with industry. Take a good look at the quality of the management and their forward plans; these will give TMC the competitive edge. TMC's will be chartered by organic growth and M&A. No hesitation needed!!!!!!

Sometimes PE really don't matter if the stocks still below RM1. It will break 1.50 in a couple of years. I had confidence. Just believe in ourself & brush aside all those negative comments. Nobody asking them to buy if they lack of confidence. Time will prove who is right or wrong

May I seek the views of experts here on the following:

Hospitals usually have quite a long gestational period. Assuming Thomson Iskandar has a short/ good one, e.g. 2-3 years, that means earnings will only improve after that period. Taking into account 1.5 to 2 years for the development phase (assuming completion of mid 2018), that means it will be about 3.5 to 5 years from now for Thomson Iskandar to contribute positively to TMC's earnings.

1. What are your views on the above?
2. Do you think there is limited upside to the share price, at least for the moment?

Medical stocks are defensive in bear market. Most important are high percentage of the stocks are in the hands of a few major shareholders. And that's makes it a well control in terms of liquidation & prices. Major shareholders loves to see wealth increase in equities. Just buy & keep forgetting long term. You won't regret.

It is, but there's not been any good answer to my query above, particularly on gestational period of the Iskandar hospital and how it relates to the share price... Would that not mean that the hospital will only start making real money about 5 years from now?
