From my perspective , this is a good move for IWH , keep the cash first to seek better opportunity. Currently having BM is a big black hole, despite so many SME business is closing down.
From the termination, there is no penalty issued to IWH-CREC. Nobody know this covid will last how long.
Perhaps with this cash they can venture to other prominent business, like what they initially invested in PLS plantation
IWH will have 50% of the RM1.54billion refund from MOF. That’s RM777 million. They just can’t park the money in the company. IWH is almost debt free. Very likely they will invest the money. My guess is they will take IWCity private at current low price of 1/3 of NAV.
IWCity got about 800 acres of land in Johor Bahru Tebrau. At market capitalization of RM350mil now, it means the value of the land is appx RM10psf. That’s way below market price of RM150psf in JB now.
