Last quarter company made loss. Reasons were given in the announcement. Were the reasons unique to this company or common among Planters ? Other planters made profit though much reduced in last quarter. Will this quarter be better ?

If the same pattern of 2nd quarter is repeated in Q3 and Q4, then this counter is doomed. Normally planters do better in 3rd Q, the question is how much better at the current CPO price level ?

valiant...for cummulative 2 quarters eps = 0.59 cents compared to 11.23 cents in previous year..yeah

so that 11.23 should be divided by 6 = 1.87 cents

Let us play crystal ball gazing. - meaning non scientific non financial expert way of doing thing. Ignore last Q -assume this is one off loss. Take previous Q EPS of 5.75 divided by the enlarge capital i.e divide by 6 ( quick estimate follow the earlier comment) that will bring it to about 1 cent per share. and X by 4 quarters that will be about 4 sen At 4 sen EPS the PE ratio will be about 20 time at the current price. If we gang-ho a bit assuming the last 2 Q of 2013 will be good then the EPS could go up to say ( simply say one) 6 sen and the PE is about 14 time then . Is the current price high or low with PE of 14 to > 20 ?????

May be a hospital or what not privatization project will turn around the situation You never know.........

What I mentioned is true. Look at the latest Q1 and Q2 result, you will know how TDM perform at this moment. Do you think TDM worth 80sen at EPS 0.59sen (2Q earnings, loss in Q2 2013). Plantation is the TDM major business, only CPO price up can help TDM perform well, BUT when CPO price will up?
