The World Health Organization (WHO) has changed its advice on face masks, saying they should be worn in public to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

The global body said new information showed they could provide "a barrier for potentially infectious droplets".

Some countries around the world already recommend or mandate the wearing of face coverings in public.

The WHO had previously argued there was not enough evidence to say that healthy people should wear masks.

Glove bubble pops on stretchy valuations

KUALA LUMPUR (June 6): The market craze for glove stocks continued despite the margin call curbs by brokerages early last week, which led to a massive sell-off.

While some said the high valuations — historical price-earnings ratios (PERs) of over 100 times — were crazy, it did not stop research houses from giving higher target prices (TPs) for glove stocks in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

For instance, Credit Suisse was the most optimistic, raising its TP for Top Glove Corp Bhd to RM23, representing another 40.4% upside against its last Friday’s closing price of RM16.38. Note that the stock has surged over 200% year to date (YTD).

Low-liner Careplus Group Bhd has even seen its share price surge close to 1,000% since early this year.

Will the strong buying interest cause a glove bubble? Are the hefty premium valuations justified? Would it be time to pick up glove stocks after a correction?

We speak to industry players, analysts and fund managers to find out what they think about the demand and earnings outlook, as well as the bull factors and key risks for the sector.

I think the uptrend will continue. I remember r88 mention that the Dow has peak and it is going to go down. Then it went above 27,000 and not by a little bit but by 800 over points. All the stimulus is going to flood the market whether you like it or not. Let's assume r88 was right about the Dow it should have gone down but why did it shoot up so much. He was so sure that technically it would have gone down because it has reach its peak. Lesson is you will never know.

Topglove results will be astronomical. Even credit suisse said so. Even JP Morgan has a coverage on topglove. As mentioned by KYY. A rising tide will raise all boats. There is still momentum and fundamental reason for an uptrend.

When the price of all gloves counters continuously riding high , just be cautious abit as the TP keep revising to adapt to its PER and ASP , alot of those hantu who doesn't believeth and caught up half way dangling in the air started to give different views that gloves stock counters valuations have over exceeded its projections TP . With this sour grapes kacau kacau may set and create an atmosphere in the buying spree of gloves stocks .

Covid19 is still rampant world wide...with the opening of many countries, demand for PPE incl gloves surely rise...barber, restraunt, etc on top of health care sectors. There is still opportunity for investors that miss the boat to join in while share price is still reasonable..no worries... don't miss the boat!
