Comfort is in trend reversal & good buying opportunity - Koon Yew Yin

Covid 19 pandemic is affecting everybody and all listed companies except medical gloves stocks and medical products to prevent the virus. The demand for medical glove far exceeds supply. All glove makers can easily increase their selling prices to take advantage of the big demand.

As shown on the charts, Supermax has shot up from Rm 1.80 to close at Rm 22.14 in the last few months, an increase of 12.3 times; while Comfort has shot up from 80 sen to close at Rm 4.31, an increase of 5.4 times.

As shown on the chart below Comfort was selling at Rm 6.76 on 3rd Aug and closed today at Rm 4.31, a drop of Rm 2.45 in less than 3 weeks. During the same period, all the other glove stocks have gone up.

Smart investors should be able to see that this is so ridiculous. It is a good buying opportunity to make money. I sold Comfort earlier to buy Supermax and today I sold Supermax to buy Comfort.

As I said many a time before, no stock can drop continuously for whatever reason. After sometime it must change its trend. The best time to buy is at its pivoting point.

Comfort will report its 2rd quarter result ending July before end of September. Like all glove stock, the result should very good.

My intention for writing this piece is to help readers to make more money. Remember whether you buy or not does not make any difference to the share price because the daily volume traded is a tens of million shares.

Even with a vaccine. India is doomed. Look at their latest spike. And they have no efficient administration in their poorer regions. 78,000 in one day spike. They have no control. Their demand for the gloves will soar and even if america improves it also doesn’t change the story. The vaccine is temporary and requires top ups. This means no one is fully immune and hence gloves will still be necessary to be used by medical personnel. Nothing changes. It’s why the directors picked up stock last week. They know the story and they know when are good prices to collect.

Comfort Gloves Bhd was leading the downtrend during the month with the biggest loss. Its share price tumbled 19.6% or RM1.05 to RM4.31 as at Aug 28 against RM5.37 at end-July.

Comparison Comfort with Careplus calculation:

PAT for Carepls is 36.2m (15.4m ex-gain)
Q2 2020 PAT = 20.8m
Q1 2020 PAT is 5.1m
PAT increase Q o Q = 20.8/5.1 = 4x

Target price of Comfort to be conservative 3x for Q2 2021
Q1 2021 PAT = 16.3m
Q2 2021 PAT = 16.3x3 = 48.9m

Assume Q3 and Q4 2021, PAT is the same as 48.9m
Total PAT for 2021 = 16.3+(48.9x3) = 163m
NOSH = 583m
EPS = 163/583 = 0.28

PER = 30, the target price is RM8.40

Undervalue at current price RM4.83, potential gain is 73.9%

Not buy/sell call.

It's either there is still no promising vaccine from US at the moment, or Solution-Cansino will be another Con, or the vaccination shouldn't be commercialized at all. U all need to understand why gloves are commodities just like rubber, palm oil and say timber loh...!!

If shortage or when demand exceed supply the price the price will shoot up just like in the case of commodity loh..!!

If u plant palm oil....u need minimum 5 years to harvest.

The truth:

1) We don't need glove as many now. US case dropping (although India's case up, but they are too poor to buy as many gloves at high price).

2) Vaccine will only be here early 2021 in Malaysia (although USA will start populating vaccines end of 2020)

3) What to do between the fall of gloves until the rise of vaccines? Budget 2020 for Malaysia with possible GE15 if budget is not approved by parliament. And US presidential election with 2nd Trump administration as a result.

If you guys want to fight, you need to save your saliva for another 2 months.

Best thing to do is to invest on good fundamentals. Gloves are fully booked and undergoing line expansion. It is not so easy to expand as the production lines require high investment and testing before it can be used. Not to mention compounding of raw materials before the actual production can start. One glove production line can be up to 1.2km long depending on the type and speed. this is a stark contrast to mask production which machines are lower cost and the skill to manufacture is not as complicated. Believe in the companies and the demands which all are fully booked till next year. Lets not creat disharmony. Threads are for constructive ideas and we all live in the same country.cheers guys
