Its share price has been struggling at below 20 sen for over 6 years. Investors got some small consolation in the form of dividends that averaged about 1 sen each year. Still not too bad.

Two years ago, I still managed to buy some at 10 sen a share. Last year the lowest I could get was 11.5 sen a share. In January this year I managed to get some at 12.5 sen a share. It is creeping up very slowly. Even at a rate of 1.5 sen a share, it is still worthwhile investing.

Zhejiang Geely Holding’s planned investment of USD10bn in Tanjung Malim. Recall that Geely has plans to turn it into the region’s largest auto city, in line with the Malaysian government’s aspiration for Tanjung Malim in Perak to become Malaysia’s Automotive High Tech Vally (AHTV). Geely and its local partner DRB-Hicom are involved in the development of AHTV, which serves to become Malaysia’s future hub for Next Generation Vehicle. According to the Muallim District Local Plan 2035, there are 22 strategies and 130 actions identified for implementation in three main sub-districts, namely Hulu Bernam Timur, Hulu Bernam Barat and Slim to achieve the aspiration. Progress in these initiatives provide plenty of opportunities for companies involved infrastructure, public amenities and property development, as housing needs expected to hit 33,000 units by 2035 to cater for 158,000 people versus current 70,000. PGF (TP: RM2.76), one of top buy picks, has plans to develop a self-sustaining integrated township with an estimated gross development value of RM3bn adjacent to the AHTV. Apart from DRB (Not Rated), other landowners in the vicinity or nearby locations like MJPERAK (Not Rated), L&G (Not Rated), TALAMT (Not Rated) and BJCORP (Not Rated) could benefit as well.

Don't BS here Tan Tua Pao. Talam's NTA is only 5 sen a share. It has never been profitable for a long long time. The last time it paid a dividend was 20 years ago.

just keep it for the Dividend Payment Date: 18 Oct 2024 which is less than 2 months time from today date !
it's dividend rate is 0.7 sen per ordinary share !
If you bought L&G at @0.135 you will get a return(dividend) of around 5.2 % in less than 2 months time !

see two macro picture


1. In Peninsular (West Malaysia )

there is a 52% diesel price rise

as such all industries will be impacted by a corresponding rise of 5% to as high as 30%

these will see higher cost

1. property
2. construction
3. construction material
4.logistic that send goods by lorry or ships

5. consumer food and drink which are bulky

6. Toll road owners
as lorries now see higher operation cost by 52% they will make less trip so less collections from till


others




2. By Nov 2024 if Trump gets elected he will impose 10% tariff (tax) for all and for China it will be 60% tariff

so all industries related to export to USA will be hit

two things will hit all


a universal price rise caused by rise of diesel 52%

a universal tariff by USA from 10% to 60%


that is why it is of utmost safety to go invest in East Malaysia stocks which got no 52% diesel rise there

and palm oil export is more to India and China (not USA)

KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer, Land & General Bhd (L&G) plans to launch U10 Aria Rimba, a new township project in Shah Alam, with a total gross development value (GDV) of RM2.4bil next year.

Managing director Low Gay Teck said the project will be developed in six phases.


Speaking after the company’s AGM, he said phase one entailed the construction of 150 units of terrace houses with a GDV of RM113mil.

Low said the group also planned to launch 1,008 units of high-rise service apartments in Sri Damansara Club in 2025, with a GDV of RM621mil.

ADVERTISING

Additionally, it aimed to open for booking 602 units of affordable service apartments, Kamelia @ Bandar Sri Damansara with an estimated GDV of RM156mil, by year-end.

The group posted a lower revenue of RM216.63mil for the financial year ended March 31, 2024 (FY24), a 13% drop from a RM249.18mil in FY23. — Bernama

(Bank FD one year rate is 2.5 %, so it’s more +2.9 % which can get it in within one month time for full payment but keep in FD need to wait for one year only got full payment!)

And L&G every year also will giving dividend and is on the increasing rate, last year is 6 sen per one share, this year is 7 sen per one share, next year maybe is 8 to 10 sen per one share!
So, return rate may higher year by year !

So, do u agree put all your monies to buy L&G shares and keep is better than put all your monies in FD to get such a low low return? (And if count on you bought L&G share price at low price and it’s price increase to record high price, such a increase price value if count as a plus value then buy L&G shares is definitely more better choice than keep it in FD !)

0.7 cents dividend rate(Currently return rate is 5.2% if you bought it now at @0.135) can consider quite high already if you compared with bank's FD 2.5% per year !

Let say is you invested now by buying at the price of @0.135 for 300,000 units for RM40,500
then you already can get the return for the dividend of => 300,000 / 1,000 * 7 which is=> RM2,100
on 18-10-2028 in your bank account (Which is less than one month time only) !

if let say next year dividend rate is 0.8 cents,you will get=>300,000/1,000 * 8 which is=>RM2,400 (ret rate=5.9 %)
if let say next year dividend rate is 0.9 cents,you will get=>300,000/1,000 * 9 which is=>RM2,700 (ret rate=6.7 %)
if let say next year dividend rate is 1 cents,you will get=>300,000/1,000 * 10 which is=>RM3,000 (ret rate=7.4
%)

And don't forget the share value appreciation also, if it's share price when you bought it at today low price of @0.135 then if it's price increase to @0.15 , @0.25 or @0.35 and above then your return might be even more damn higher than your current return rate which is already at least double than you keep it in FD's return already !
