“I have already announced that on National Day on Aug 31, 50% of the adult population will be fully vaccinated.

“That is our new target,” he told reporters after visiting the mobile vaccination centre for the Orang Asli community at Kampung Batu Peti here today.

Khairy also said the government was finalising the guidelines to relax SOPs for fully vaccinated individuals.

An announcement on this would be made by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin soon, he added.

After many months this apek finally bought back some Gent shares, believe Genting will bounce back soon given current vaccination trajectory at home and abroad.

Petang ini saya telah mempengerusikan mesyuarat Sidang Khas Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) bagi memperincikan kemudahan kepada individu yang telah lengkap mendapat dua dos suntikan vaksin. Turut dibincangkan adalah kemudahan yang bakal dinikmati sektor ekonomi.

Perkara ini perlu diperhalusi dengan berhati-hati bagi memastikan usaha kerajaan untuk memulihkan ekonomi dan kualiti hidup rakyat dapat dilaksanakan dengan lancar dan berkesan.

Insya’Allah kemudahan-kemudahan ini akan saya umumkan dalam waktu yang terdekat dan diharapkan dapat memanfaatkan sebaiknya individu yang telah menerima vaksinasi lengkap dan juga membantu sektor ekonomi kita dengan mengambilkira keselamatan rakyat.

Ingin saya tekankan juga di sini bahawa strategi kerajaan adalah memberikan vaksinasi kepada seramai mungkin penduduk dewasa di Malaysia bagi memastikan pemulihan negara dapat dijalankan dengan lancar.

Lebih ramai yang divaksinasi, lebih ramai yang terlindung, lebih kurang tekanan dan bebanan kepada sistem kesihatan negara dan lebih banyak sektor ekonomi dan sosial yang boleh dibuka dengan selamat.

Pada mesyuarat petang ini juga, Menteri Penyelaras Pelan Pemulihan Negara (PPN) YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, telah membentangkan perkembangan pelaksanaan PPN.

Alhamdulillah, sukacita ingin saya umumkan bahawa tiga buah negeri yang menunjukkan prestasi yang amat baik akan beralih ke Fasa 3 PPN iaitu Perlis, Sarawak dan Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan berkuatkuasa Rabu, 4 Ogos 2021.

Tahniah dan syabas saya ucapkan. Suka untuk saya mengingatkan agar SOP dan peraturan yang telah ditetapkan terus dipatuhi dan semua usaha untuk menambahbaik situasi pandemik di negeri masing-masing diteruskan.

Saya berharap dengan kerjasama semua pihak di seluruh negara lebih banyak negeri akan dapat bergerak ke fasa seterusnya. Kita harus optimis dan terus bergerak ke hadapan supaya pemulihan negara dapat dijalankan dengan lebih sistematik dan selamat.
