In high vaccination countries, the death rate is less than 1%. People should focus on death rate instead of positive cases. Whole world knows covid is going to be around for many years or even forever. No need to make huha for positive cases.

@investmalaysia777 It's not only death rate. But the backlog and strain on the healthcare system. People who don't die but end up with serious cases will take up the ICU and require even more care from nurses and doctors. Govt hospitals can't cope with all the people coming into hospitals non-stop. Oxygen are in low supply and they need to share cause of the low resources when everybody who are sick but not dead are hogging all the oxygen. If people die, they can wrap up and settle in a day, if you go into ward and ICU, you will take weeks and months before you get discharge, then everyday new people queuing to get admitted, but no space. That's the real problem, not the 1% death rate. Malaysia death rate also low, but why our covid hospitals so strained? This simple question was already answered right at the beginning of lockdown in March 2020.... it's a no brainer...

PETALING JAYA: More than 1,800 healthcare workers were infected with Covid-19 despite being fully vaccinated but only reported mild symptoms, says Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

The Health Minister said a total of 243,309 healthcare workers were fully vaccinated with two doses, and 1,834 of them got infected later.

Being fully vaccinated is NO PROTECTION against covid 19 infection !!!
