KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 4): The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has alerted investors to Top Gloves Investment, which is seen as a potential clone of legitimate entity rubber glove manufacturer Top Glove Corp Bhd.

In a statement on the SC’s website, the regulator said Top Gloves Investment is a possible clone operating an illegal investment scheme.

The SC said Top Gloves Investment is “carrying on regulated activity of fund management without a licence”, and that the latter misrepresented and misused the SC’s name.

Top Gloves Investment claims on its website that it operates under Top Glove Sdn Bhd, which is seen as a possible clone of legitimate entity Top Glove Corp’s operating unit with the same name.

Top Gloves Investment claims that potential clone Top Glove Sdn Bhd is licensed by the SC as a digital investment management company.

The club visitors are not direct moola for RWLV, just to clarify
The club operators get the first pie after paying rent
For Ayu, most long time investors here should know who the owner is

Indirectly, it might give RWLV the kind of image boost it needs to stand out though

The 3 hotels, Ayu Dayclub, Zouk Nightclub (opening Sep 17), new theatre (pending opening),the ‘Mall’ all belong to RWLV.

It is given that Genting requires professional operators to run the daily management of Hilton, Conrad & Crockfords, the clubs, the F&B operators & retail shops.

It is the daily footfall ie number of visitors at RWLV which Genting requires to boost its revenue in both its non-gambling revenue & gambling revenue.

So, when the crowd is huge at Ayu Dayclub, RWLV should be earning more than just rental from the operator.

Same as the hotels, RWLV (Genting) earns a certain cut from the revenue/sales based on pre-agreed contracts. Same goes for MGM, Sands, Caesars.

Talking to Vegas Inc, Sibella (President of RWLV) said that the majority of the revenue won’t come from gaming operations. He said that the forecasts indicate that when the facility opens, around 75% of the revenue will be from the non-gaming side.

“You have to think differently and design differently, because not everyone is going to want to gamble. It’s a different way of thinking than it was years ago,” he said. “What we’re doing is not only good for us, it’s good for the city because this is going to attract people,” he added.

There is no way any 3rd party operators get a bigger slice of the revenue or profit from Genting/RWLV.

Crowds & footfalls would therefore be indicative of RWLV’s success factors. The longer the customers stay inside RWLV property or inside the casinos, the better for RWLV.

Zouk was bought by Lim Keong Hui, LKT's son, in 2020 which was controversial "RPT" at the time
Don't think Ayu belongs directly to RWLV.

That's what I comprehend, correct me if I'm wrong

Genting will have over RM7.0 billion of operating cash flows per year once things get normalised from 2022. As major capex for Las Vegas and Genting Highlands outdoor themed park is over, and the likelihood of getting Yokohama IR licence has diminished, so the capex for Genting going forward will drop significantly to below RM1.5 billion. Assuming it will pare down debts by RM1.5-1.8 billion every year, it will still have close to RM4.0 billion of free cash flows or over RM1.00 per share every year. Things are looking up for Genting and its share price will likely go up back to its glory days of RM9.00-10.00 level in 2 years.
