it would not go back to 17sen. there will be loads of support already. it went there on the basis of a so called "bankruptcy" as announced by najib. now najib has come out and basically say that they wont allow it to go bankrupt.

im holding mine. it will go above 30sen in the coming months

guys, dont treat the "recovery" of MAS down to its partnership with other airlines. that aint a strong catalyst. the market now has the bias that the government will save MAS. so these few days may see some selling as there are people out there with 20-30% profit and are taking money off the table..

what nightmare event could possibly be for MAS compared to an experience as tragic as MH370, not to mention the -RM400++m loss that they incurred last quarter. the price has already been pushed down the lowest it could go. government has swung around their view of MAS. this could be the bottom already. 15 sen was the bottom, some sellers to have made more than 40% return hence the selloff

the difference is MAS has unions which are powerful and have contributed to the decline. MAS could've had millions in cost savings and their fortune reversed had it not been the unions hard stance. I dont think Silterra has unions. Now, with MAS in focus with talk of bankruptcy, union leaders are now faced with the embarrassing prospect of admitting that they need to save jobs of union members. to avoid losing jobs, we are now seeing for the first time a different side to the unions. Management and Khazanah has better flexibility now to execute than ever before...trust me, MAS would survive this.
