MAS price is too low now. no more 本钱 to drop further!
Come on,we dont measure downside risk by looking at the price. There is exception la as when the price is half cent. lol. Cheap can be anytime cheaper.
Mas need better management to reduce especially to their operation cost ~ look at different between cabin crews/ pilot of AA compared to MAS... This can be seen obvious different at Kch as Tune Hotel and Hilton is just side by side ~ AA stay at their budget hotel while Mas at Hilton... So how to make profit as operating cost keep increasing disregard the fuel price!
It has been proven that all top management which fall from the "sky" could not help to turn MAS around. Sometimes you need a dictator style CEO to create sense of esprit de corp in a chaotic organisation to support mission and value.
Who are the deadwoods in MAS I wonder? The pilots and crews seem to be doing good job. Where is the waste? I don't think it is so much bad workforce issue but more on lacked of cost saving drive. Perhaps their salary scale is too high, etc. Where did MAS go wrong would have been a question that had been asked a thousand times...is the answer = lousy manpower?
deadwood is also the name of a drama series, a cowboy town, worthwatching is you can stand cowboys' uncencored ways that are full of vulgarities - google to find out
Idris was all the time writing and publishing comments in a cozy plane travelling at Exosphere. At that height and spped, one can only differentiate sea and land, and sometimes, cloud...from one's window. One will suffer hypoxia and loss of vision at that altitudes...
Problem with MAS (Mana ada System) is that the workers are all in the union. Workers talk management listen. How to success? How many workers are there in MAS and compare their salary to AA. If can get rid of 30% of the workforce, MAS will make a good profit, but CEO will get fire also. My friend is a manager at AA. He has to make announcement, check the flight to make sure take off on time, collect ticket from customers before take off and even have to ta pau for the air hostess to make sure the flight take off on time. What do MAS do? Hostess sit pretty only. What do government do, complain AA hostess wear sometime too tight. Don't know la.
ipomember... i am an investor with a fair and and very respectable volume purchased recently and optimistically looking forward for MAS shares to take off. So no kidding. What I do not understand is that - WHY IF anyone in this forum has no personal interest on MAS, why are you here? so ipomember and those who had been condemning MAS mind enlightening me on this ? :)
Please don't get me wrong, i strongly advocate each and every individual have the right to their opinion.... especially so Malaysia Bolih.... talk talk rubbish politics and still get away with it :) Cheers!
Hi merzman, no worry haha, i have no doubt on you nor condemn on MAS. I speak out according to the fact and real figures. Basically i am just hanging here to pass my time and I believe cognitive bias will definitely affect one's judgement in investment, so taking others people ideas and make own judgement isn't it a good things too?hehe
How to compare MAS to AA when one is a normal airlines and the other one is budget-cheap cheap. It takes me a while to get used for a stewardess carries black garbage bag inside the plane in order to save cleaner cost. I have to focus on the red skirt instead.....
why buy MAS? MAS is at all time low, potential sofrteningof oil pricein future, economy outlook better, shipping stocks already moved, changes n expansions taking place in MAS, potential politics settlement, potential take over target, better second half financial results. Congratulations to the buyers who bought at 31 sen.
Someone recommended sersol here but picked up so fast. Not even have time to evaluate lol. Any other recommendations ? Anyway, thanks for the recommendation.
Malaysia Airlines scales new heights with hospitality Written by theedgemalaysia.com Tue Jul 23 2013 3:10:25 PM KUALA LUMPUR (July 23): Malaysia Airlines is committed to scaling new heights with its reputable hospitality to ensure that travellers will enjoy their journeys, according to Malaysia Airlines Director of Commercial, Dr Hugh Dunleavy.
He lamented that the romance of airline travel has been sacrificed to make way for cost consideration and increase passenger volume. However, Malaysia Airlines will not sacrifice quality service and hospitality.
“Air travel is all about rock bottom ticket prices and no frills nowadays. Long queues, tight security checks… becomes the memory of your travels. What used to be a discerning choice accompanied by anticipation of a long-awaited trip is now an arduous necessity before arriving at a destination,” he said.
“This is the area that Malaysia Airlines has the edge through our advocacy of ‘Malaysian Hospitality’. Our goal is to create memorable experiences for everyone. And that is the all-important factor that sets us apart from other premium airlines,” added Dr Dunleavy.
Malaysia Airlines lifted the Skytrax World Airline Award as a 5-star airline in 2012 and again this year, besides winning the Skytrax helmed World’s Best Cabin Staff Award 7 out of 11 times since 2001, thus demostrating its commitment to go beyond transporting travellers from point-to-point.
He added that great brands are built on promises; iconic brands are built on a great purpose but Malaysia Airlines goes beyond airline travel by inspiring people to look at the world differently.
“Our new brand campaign celebrates life’s journeys and how it is made meaningful and memorable by the people who are with you along the way. Just like these people, Malaysia Airlines is committed to making your journey a truly remarkable one,” Dr Dunleavy added.
Indeed, Malaysia Airlines has been synonymous with ‘Malaysian Hospitality’, a distinct philosophy that its team delivers across its network of over 60 destinations today.
In mid-June 2013, the premium airline launched a worldwide brand campaign that leverages its edge in delivering ‘Malaysian Hospitality’ as part of the previously introduced positioning ‘Journeys are made by the people you travel with’.
The ‘Journeys’ campaign, launched locally on June 17 and covering markets across Malaysia and ASEAN, UK, Europe and China, is the first major brand campaign in recent years, signalling greater things ahead for the Malaysian airline and signals the beginning of an extensive campaign that expands beyond Malaysia.
Brought to life via a combination of media including a TV commercial to tell the brand story, strong print advertisements with brand and product messages will cater specifically to different consumer segments.
These will be supported by the outdoor media that establishes the brand’s presence and digital activation for consumers to engage with the brand.
Cognisant that a brand cannot be built on one campaign alone, Malaysia Airlines thought it absolutely critical that they first establish what the brand stands for.
Subsequently, they activated the brand to let everyone, around the world, experience Malaysia Airlines. Through consistent engagement and involvement, Malaysia Airline is confident people will recognize the value it brings to their lives.
After a succession of milestones in the last 12 months, from the launch of the A380 into its fleet, to joining the award-winning one world airline alliance, Malaysia Airlines’ global brand campaign is more than just a communications effort to external audiences.
Dr Dunleavy reiterated that the brand’s commitment is to constantly create delightful experiences for their travellers.
“Our vision to be the world’s most preferred premium airline is grounded in our belief that every single member within the Malaysia Airlines family can play a key part in creating extraordinary experiences,” he said.
