I dont think khazanah so stupid to sell this counter after pumping their money in and their turnaround plan bearing fruits. Secondly this is the only counter that do 'national service' for khazanah.

I invested a lot in MAS .I look at the trend, it will only retreat or stable at this price.Sad for me....

if MAS turnaround the share will go up, but the questions are:
1. You say time will tell, so exactly when? Will anyone have to patience to wait for the unknown?
2. Turnaround required either because of few factors, namely macro factor: aviation industry or micro, company itself, change in management. Macro, aviation has not been doing extremely well, especially the traditional full frills airlines. That's hard to forecast, but on the micro, has the management have what it takes to turn it around?
3. Last question, what is the trade off cost BETWEEN INVESTING YOUR TIME ON ANALYZING MAS & ANALYZING SOME SOUNDLY MANAGED COMPANIES THAT ARE GOING UPTREND?

Car racing are always more exciting to watch when the driver managed to pull off a drift from that small dirt road snaking the edge of the cliff, compare to a car running alone on a super huge empty road. But who will you choose?

MAS -privatize ---- What does this mean ? they payoff all share holders (price will go down and MAS will be bankrupt.They are not cash solid today to be independent) ? Someone buying from them ? ---this will push share price up? I got to rest now.....no one knows the answer..Aug 22nd, they declare they make $$ ,again share will shoot up...

MAS: Najib ends speculation on MAS' future. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak ended speculation on Malaysian Airline Bhd's (MAS) future when he announced yesterday that the national carrier will not be privatized. The prime minister is chairman of Khazanah which holds a 69.37% stake in MAS.
