wonder why should petronas want to have a second misc. this just creates a duplication of the activities when they already have misc
they would better have outsourced the ships to misc and dont have to start having a businees all over from fresh.

even if petronas is buying its own ship for its canada operations, feel that misc is still a good buy in view that there will be increased lng shipping activities
in Bintulu in near future . they are purchasing new ships to cover for the new shipment. means increased future revenue and profit ???

The latest move by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) to procure its liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers directly rather than from MISC Bhd would have very negative implication on MISC. This means that MISC's top-line & bottom-line will unlikely to grow or more likely to drop in the future. In addition, this in-your-face move that follows so shortly after the unsuccessful privatization attempt by Petronas would mean that Petronas may make another attempt at privatization in the near future. It would certainly like to see the share price moves lower so that its next offer, when it comes, will be well-received. This tantamount to shareholders' bullying- something which many did not expect from Petronas.

Under such circumstances, the only thing to do is to dispose of the stock and move on.

only 1 out of 6 research house suggest to sell..other suggest to buy/hold.. but price keep dropping.the news is not convincing enough. wait until petronas change its mind to operate the vessel via misc..then price will boom out..!

tsukurame,technically this counter is a good counter,since the company is recovering from losses.it just some bad management people who is too greedy,and bullying the investor..really surprise with what had being announce by the petronas top management,it may impact the investor,they might think twice before investing in malaysia if this kind of mentality and bullying mindset keep exist..!

MISC WAS a good counter when PETRONAS had 100% supported its business. Now PETRONAS had a different business view on MISC and this is an important game changer going forward that will affect MISC future performance.

Moreover MHB lacklustre performance and dwindling order intake will also impact on MISC future performance and at this juncture there is poor visibility on a good performance by MISC...

Conclusion: MISC was a good counter BUT NOT NOW!!!

Misc gm business development for lng arif adnan was ex petronas and he is loyal to petronas too. Business is about people..doesnt take a genius that misc shares will be surpress low
