this stock, like other tech stocks, cannot look at the earnings meh. it is really distorted by depreciation charges. imagine a very capital intensive business, depreciation charges is very short, like 5 years only. after that almost all assets depreciated already. thats why the recent earnings number look poor but now it picks up due to lesser depreciation. look at the cash flow then you'll see the true value of tech stocks.

Microchip produces a wide range of Ic's. From microcontrollers to Analogs IC. Texas Instruments is a large Semiconductor company and it drops 7% with freescale 10% ! I think the huge correction is here for semicond and evidently u can see it from the Nasdaq performance.

the dow jones peak on 19 sept 14 with index 17279.
If consider 10% correction this time, it will drop to 15555.
yesterday dow jones is at 16321.
It means we still have 766 points to drop.
By the time. it think mpi hit my target of 3.50
Good luck for those still holding this stock.

Sinking oil prices (currently US80+ per barrel) will benefit all sectors (electronic gadgets, automobiles, transport, consumer goods etc) except O&G and O&G related sectors outside of the current US shale oil boom. I would be very pessimistic and uncomfortable if oil prices tortures at US160+ per barrel. Oil prices was almost there just before 08/09 market crash. So you think market is going to crash with low oil prices? I beg to differ and those who sell short are going to be disappointed very soon.
