FCPO prices close very stromg today rebounding from a week of profit taking.
Great opportunity to buy more at much cheaper prices. The exuberant play is on tech stocks currently where their prices have run way ahead of earnings. However, prices for plantation stocks are still very cheap relative to the earnings to be announced soon which will show profits shooting up like rockets, cheers.

Btw, how gov determines export tax on CPO for Feb’21? Based on spot settlement price or FCPO price?

@FCM100 could be a seasonal thing affecting the timing of their log harvesting. Jan'20 log volume was 3,003 m3 which means Jan'21 production is actually 16% higher

Jan is not a good month for harvesting log, its full of rain. But Feb looks promising, and looking at the record high log price, its a good sign.

Yes. Agreed with Kang Yao. It is seasonal and nothing so surprise. During Feb 2020 the log volume is only 3,003.

Hello @ sense84. Yes, I now just quietly invest and not comment too much as this forum does not respect that every person has his/her view of things. I just read, smile and move on with my investment strategy. For all naysayers, wait lah when the qtr results are announced next week. You will be surprised. Plantation stocks are under valued, take the opportunity to invest while you still can :) Good luck to all.

KLK, a leader in plantation just announced 100% increase profit. JP Morgan said next supercycle would be commodities including plantation.

However, Patria AgroNegocios estimates that as of Feb. 12, the soybean harvest is nowhere near complete in Brazil. Producers are working hard in Mato Grosso, where 22% of the crop has been harvested, but less than 10% has been harvested across the rest of the main growing regions. This puts the total soybean estimate for the entirety of Brazil at just 8.7%, well-behind the average of 24.6% for this time of year.

I think we can wait for Jtiasa CPO harvest to recover afte March, and CPO price to maintained.

https://www.agriculture.com/markets/newswire/update-1-brazils-agriculture-minister-confirms-big-grain-crop-expectations

Brazil’s 2020/2021 soybean harvest had reached 1.9% of the cultivated area through Jan. 28, the slowest pace for this time in the season in 10 years.

Its second-corn crop, which is planted after soybeans are harvested, makes up the bulk of Brazil’s corn production. But because of delays affecting the soy crop, planting of second corn may have to be done outside the ideal window, potentially affecting yields. (Reporting by Ana Mano. It's harvest season in South America now... They're not recovering.. There is overly high amount of rain causing harvest to delay. Right now Brazil has only harvested less than half of what they did last year at this time. Soy supply will be low for this year.

DonWorryBeHappy Those sifus who promote may cut already, production is plunging, no matter how I count, revenue should be 20-25 % lower even with high CPO, straight cut all plantation cts. Sometimes don't listen too much to all these sifus better, buy sell always your own decision. But some cts look attractive again. Good luck.

The figures are there why u all no count leh, why wait when you can count, don't always listen to so called sifus
