Believe it or not. Nestle has still a long way from its full potential target price. It will just go up and up for 2018 at least. This is not due to speculation. It is because the fundamentals and potential of the company is still underrated. (Forget all the talk of high historical PEs) Secondly, there is hardly any share for sale in the open market.( If you buy 100,000 shares, the price will shoot up to the sky.) All weak holders have been eliminated by now. Those holding the shares now are very staunch supporters. Thirdly, I suspect some big overseas pension funds have bought substantial blocks of Nestle and they intend to hold on to the shares for a long time to come. Thanks to the stock being added to the MSCI Global index.

FY17 Q4 result is within expectation, nothing extraordinary. Full Year FY17 PATMI has just grown by a pathetic 1.4% YoY. Slight improvement on dividend payout but FCF keep deteriorating. Looking forward FY18(F) PATMI is expected to be stagnant or slightly contracts. It is currently trading at a mind boggling P/E 44X & Price/NTA of over 30X with a mediocre DY of 2.3% at 120.

There are counters which are priced at PE of 88 e.g. Msia Airports and Axiata. Many of USA shares are also priced at PE of 30-50x. It's the growth momentum which are supporting the company.

In 2008, Nestle gave a dividend of 191 sen per share.

This year 2018, is dividend for 2017 (Price RM 27) was 275 sen per share. (Share price RM 120).

At historical price per share of RM 27 and latest DPS of 275 sen, the DY based on the historical cost just exceeds 10%.

Nestle is an example of Dividend Growth Investing stock.

Please read the report carefully with fact.
This q, nestle did not included China sale so report was good.

Next q will cut profit will cut 50%....
