Steady momentum and hopefully all is well. The whole Bursa is reset in the first day of 2023. Good luck and only focus on those stocks with reinforcement and public strong perception. Also those which already new low and business full opening up require their resources and supply for long run.
@IOI 1882 At the moment let's see if it can exceed RM3. If everything goes well, perhaps RM3.50 by mid 2023
A lot of good news comes from China's reopening next week. But currently China only allows people with student, business and family reunion visa to travel. No news about tourist visa yet. Travel outside is still limited, hopefully more good news to come.
Make no mistake, there's a pent-up demand for Chinese to go abroad. Imagine not traveling abroad for three years. During height of zero-covid, even inter-provincial travel is a pain in the a*se. For upper-middle class people, there are many ways to get a student/business/reunion visa, just have to be creative.
The Board wishes to announce that GENM’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Genting ER II LLC, a Delaware company, had on 5 December 2022 (United States Eastern date/time) entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with Kien Huat Realty III Limited to purchase the entire 1,510 Series F Convertible Preferred Stock of Empire (“Series F”) for a total consideration of USD100 million (or RM438.5 million) (“Proposed Series F Acquisition”).
Series F preferred stock’s maturity date is Dec 31, 2038, and it is convertible into common stock between end-2030 until its expiry.
Assuming full conversion of Series F, G and L preferred stock in 2030, Genting Malaysia said its effective shareholding in Empire Resorts will increase to 76.3%, from 49% currently.
Genting Malaysia said the latest round of investment was to capitalise on Empire resorts
Fortunebull777, agree with you that it was better for Genm to let go Macau last year as the Macua gaming market is still weak and operators there may be in for another year of losing, some more required to commit at least US$2.5-3.0 billion or capex over next few years.
I think Genm has done some goodwill with the Macau authority / selection committee by participating in the bid. I wouldn't be surprise if Genm puts in an unsolicited bid later this year or next for a new gaming license there, just to put in more competition to the 6 incumbents and to add tax & gaming revenue to Macau authority
Rm4 and above for this is no big trouble for this year…

Dragon! That's a superb analysis there! Very true! Genm is extremely undervalue! Empire Resort turn out to be good gamble for Genm and it's paying off big! With Miami land up for sale, Genm debts should be non issue going forward! Anyway, our sleeping research houses are not doing their homework! Genm even at RM4 is still cheap! At current price, come on man, we are moving away from Covid pandemic! China reopening is a game changer! Only western media are dishing out all the scary fake news about China reopening! Anyway, i am dropping big hint here! I bought Genm at 2.70 and add more at 2.77! This is my biggest portfolio at the moment!

Anyway, Malaysia Thailand Singapore will be the first major benefactor of chinese China tourists as US and EU putting so much barrier for China! So chill, Genm is the best bet at the moment!

I am aiming for big fat RM1 profit margin for Genm! So hitting 3.77 is no biggie!

Genm hitting 3.77 should not be an issue once Resorts World New York City clears the huddle of community support for a full scale casino at Queens

Dragon! If Genting wins full casino, then sky is the limit! I think RM5 or RM6 will be undervalued!

As for Macau bit, i say it's good Genting didn't win it! I mean, only 10 years! What's that! As for Japan, maybe some day but i rather prefer Thailand!
