as enning22 mentioned, if the poor quarterly result is due to one-off incident, or seasonal factor, or due to deteriorating business? we should not dump a stock, just because of poor quarterly result, without knowing what happened to the company.
@007 alright...for those like me who's still holding, hope this counter can perform in the coming quarters ok? Investing should be something fun and at the same time provide a platform for learning, no point debating lah aiyo... :)
@sctan yeap, i'm still holding because i dont dump due to a not performing quarter. Unless company make loss, thats a different story, have to consider.
look at the chart, jan 2012 TAAN at peak of above 5, TAAN again at the peak jan 2016 above 5. if you hold TAAN above 5, you probably need to hold for 4 years before another peak and you don't make any money after 4 years waiting. just for your refreshment and fun investing
@007 hmm i wonder why you sound angry about taann, don't tell me you burnt your hand buying this counter at its peak and sold when price crashing down ha ha ha. On the other hand, if you do not have any taann shares at the moment, why here blaming and beh song LOL
from TA, @007 is right. the chart is downtrend. from 2011 to 2015. profit ranges from 51mil (2012) to 191mil(2015), no loss. Dividends ranges from 5 cents to 20 cents (average 14 cents per year) latest Q earning=12.54mil, annualized is 51mil. Equivalent to 2012 earnings. If your entry point is low (rm3.25 at end of 2010),your average return is 4% dividend yield + 4% capital appreciation. 8% return maybe ok for somebody, but definitely not for @007.
thks @kkgan. bonus share was issued for tehse 2 years, share price should be Rm2.77 at end of 2010(this price is adjusted after bonus share issued recently), I got the price from shareinvestor.com. your average return is 5% dividend yield + 8.8% capital appreciation.
Jeremykid, May I ask today price 3.33 is low or is high ? is this an entry point ? or a selling point ? or a point to hold TAAN share for long term ? i want to learn
@007 i seriously dont get it. If you are not holding TAANN, why here talk cock? You can keep your sarcasm to yourself. Oh i get it, it's your nature of enjoying looking at a dropping stock, and that pride of knowing you are correct. Undeniable TAANN is dropping, so? Oh you are correct, satisfied? Honestly no point arguing with you, hope you have a good day.
hahaha, one of mr market's behaviors is comment already last night then delete. Then today come up with another comment. Later delete again? HAHHAHA. Who eats chilly, he feels spicy.
now 3.15. Can go in. All time low. 1Q results low due to seasonal factor. Don't believe, see the announcement history. All 1Q is always lower. Further couple with low wood price. I'm IN, feel free to follow or not to follow but please do not condemn me.

@007, May I ask today price 3.45 is low or is high ? is this a selling point ? or a point to hold TAANN share for long term ? i want to learn. Or maybe I should continue rot with it
why argue with a loser, whose pessimism was based purely on ignorance, and a lack understanding of business cycle, and seasonal production/comsumption cycle of respective commodities.
true ,anything could happen in the future, if price drops , it is only temporary. as we keep in mind, and stick to the principle of value-investment,which means intrinsic value of the stock must be contantly observed. We know Taann has reasonably large palm oil plantations, and good land bank for future expansion.Other products are log and plywood, these are valued commodities, and main buyers are Japan and India.if these two countries economy remain healthy, and not fall into recession, then Taann annual profit would be ensured.During this current turbulent period we are in, it is hard to find better ,safer stock to invest. 29/06/2016 22:08
now seawater already subside, can see very clearly who is wearing and not wearing underwear. He he he myself not in the sea, at the seaside watching pretty girls in subside sea ha ha ha aiyoyo nice holiday. but I will not jump into the sea yet. no need ego, no need fear, just watching. Some people said this is boring but I feel good, talk cock.
Besides watching your so called "pretty girls", it looks like you enjoy your hobby of writting comments then delete, then write again then delete again. hahaha. hope you are at the right beach, because i know you kena Tsunami last time, almost died. So now you are here blaming Tsunami ke ke ke. Go watch your pretty hot ladies la, find your bones, shoo shoo, dont pee everywhere ok. Byeeee
fundamental very good, invest long term, price drop only temporary, production output very good, buy at the bottom, average down. la nina coming, price will fly. sure up
Pressure on Ringgit, suggest to convert to other currencies if you hold Ringgit. 1MDB effect, or there will be reversal of trend for TAAN as ringgit weaken
under valued investment stock, not for goreng ,if export business back to normal, not affected by big range currency fluctuation, comfortable profit is ensured.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
