Actually, what I meant was there will be days when the price drop significantly but if the fundamentals are strong, it will rebound so be prepared psychologically for such corrections and not panic sell.

he whole world is facing food shortage including cooking oils (including palm oil) and why worry as long as FCPO is in excess of RM6K/ton, and all individual oil palm smallholders & oil palm listed companies are reaping tons of profits which go directly into their pockets/banks, why worry about the movement of the share prices.

Dow Jone drops like bombs affecting tech. companies, cryptocurrencies and "Growth" companies where else oil palm list cos. are "Value" companies are holding very well and stable.

This is my opinion and for critical analysis.

The sustainable price for cpo should be Rm 4000 to Rm 4500, even if it is Rm 4000, it is already a historical record high mah!

Of course 2022 is exceptional....its yr record high todate is above rm 8,000 mah!

The plantation valuation is modest....using cpo price of Rm 4000 despite now still above rm 6000 loh.....!

Thus alot of value in plantation stock mah!

Benchmark futures in Kuala Lumpur last traded at RM6,007 a tonne late yesterday. Veteran trader Dorab Mistry forecast earlier this month that palm oil may sink to RM5,000 by June and to RM4,000 by September once Indonesia relaxes its export ban and the war in Ukraine is resolved.

The current price is base on investment bank forecast of average CPO price for 2022 at RM4,300. Now is at rm6,000 and unless you believe by year end average is rm4,300 which mean 7 month from jun to December average is rm3,00 as the average up to April is 5,800.
You make your own judgement accounting.

Do remember share price is forward looking 6 months. If my August 2022 CPO average is still above rm6,000 the rerating will change. Rm4,300 to rm6,00 is 40% mean Taann will be rm7
