in my experience at this range 0.810-0.860 limbo limbo .. no worries unless tomorrow total economic disaster .. so far NTPM .. has proven its valor .. no worries at all ....

if I can read the term incorrectly.......share buy back mean the company had sold certain block of shares in the market. And after the board meeting they feel like it is not the good time to sell the shares. they regret and buy back the share. so share buy back come into the picture.

Cut my story short.

For NTPM case,
Technically, they buy back the shares (when undervalue price) and eventually will distribute as DIVIDEND to share holder mainly.

Financially, for good account book profile by decreasing the unsold stock quantity...it will helps to "increase" the Earning per Share. So when ppl evalute "higher" Earning per share. It makes investor option for it.

Hope my shallow understanding answer your doubt.
