Don't buy company that u don't really understand. So many high tech, bio-tech n technology companies need tons of $ to do R&D, so capex are high. We should look for simple company that even a fool can manage it, because eventually a fool will.

Latest QR EPS 1.96sen show improvement YOY and QOQ. If can maintain 3-4sen yearly dividend meaning DY 5.5-7.34% at current price.

But the property is not as liquid as shares. shares is better in term of liquidity. Property's price boom will not happen in nx few years. If you buy it, you hold the commitment with you. Cost of holding also higher than shares.

I see sinchew e-paper marketing very active these days, joining many Chinese organisations dinners/events to give out luck draw prizes in form of the e-paper subscriptions and marketing to sell more of the e-version. Also combined with The Star recently. Chinese star + English star... wonder if there is another Malay star to complete the package - Sinar harian? But sinar is tied up with MalayMail, Makkal Osai and Oriental Daily for complete package

No matter what, I am confident that the management will do their best to drive the company to a better future since the management is the largest owner of the company. The current downtrend which may last for few quarters may only be temporary due to slowdown of economy growing in mainland and also local.
