it might be positive outlook of airline business due to good news about the vaccine, lesser cases of covid19 and people are more relax in term of the covid19, and i think edge market today mention about the positive outlook thats why you can see the uptrend of oil and less and less restriction towards operation and going out, means demand of oil is coming back, just based on my opinion.

Warren buffet say is easier to manage small capital than larger capital, warren buffet do not know how or when u.s airline industry demand will come back,so he is not confident, with the amount of losses, in order to recover the losses and made profit he has to use his resources and go for other counters that has a higher probability for him to make profit, which are the stocks with good fundamentals, and based on its criteria. So why stick to something which has uncertainty, also this info is just an opinion, not a buy more call or what is just about opinion.

Demand of oil will be extremely positive as most airlines will start flying their passengers. Airasia will start to handle the back logs from previous passengers who were unable to fly due to lockdown.

I understand there are many passengers who had their flight with AA aborted. AA will start to replace these group of people by creditting their air ticket with BIG credits and duration is 1 year to use the air ticket.

It's a bit if yo-yo effect on Airasia as they already negotiated with gov with the permission to fly their air crafts. We will start to see people starting to move in KLIA and transport thru terminals.

It will start slowly but eventually all back to normal pace.

Buffett had bought the stocks of the airline prior to the pandemic and therefore his entry cost likely to be much higher than prices during the pandemic. In Air Asia case for example those who bought prior to the pandemic crisis had paid much higher prices of, say around RM 2, very much higher than current prices. It is very rational therefore for Buffett or anyone who happened to buy any airline stocks prior to Covid 19 crisis to sell those stocks as they are very unlikely can recover their investment costs and therefore it is better then to use the sale proceeds to invest in other stocks that have gone down in prices.
