Would shareholders be better off if TH Plantations sell its assets like Boustead Plantation?

TH Plantations has about 55,000 of planted land compared to Boustead Plantations which has about 70,000 ha.
The shareholders of Boustead have decided that they can derive better value if it was part of KLK rather than operate it on their own.
If you compare the ROE of KLK (shown in green in the chart) over the past 9 years with those of BPlant (shown in black), you can see the economic rational. Refer here for the chart. https://i.postimg.cc/63zsdSZG/TH-vs-Boustead.png

When you look at TH ROE over the same period (shown in blue), it is worse than that of BPlant.
I know TH has its Transformation plan to turn deliver better returns. But wouldn’t it be easier for TH to take the BPlant route and then put the money into better use?

Calvin - do u know TH has total borrowings of RM856 mil? cash position at only 95mil (i believe the proceed is from sukuk)... there is mismatch of funding where trade receivable+inventories (RM60.6mil - haven't less out other receivables which could be leakages to related company ) < Trade payables (59mil)

overall company is still sustainable with balance sheet tend to be unhealthy if not making good profit in coming FYEs in view of high debts. However market does not see your financial when the whole plantation sector is booming.

Thplant definitely not a con stock

Misunderstood stock yes

In year 2021 when bplant wanted to go into algae business people doubted it and sold. We bought cheap at 57 sen when people were fearful

Last year people cast doubt on jtiasa. Again we bought jtiasa cheap at 63 sen
Both so bombed out we bought cheap now we are rewarded well

So will be Thplant

Thplant is a turnaround

Dr Neoh and his Dynaquest Funds still in Top 30

Dr Neoh bought Pba and waited patiently for Pba to perform

Same will happen to Thplant
