calvintaneng, We as traders need to make a wise decision and follow the market trends. It's unlogical to stick to one sectors only and the worse is u keep promoting others even though this sectors is not trending anymore bcoz the cpo price keep dropping.

Thplant's 2Q and 1H results not so bad lah.
The 2Q results is affected by the negative change in fair value of biological assets ($20.9mil) which follow the commodity price at the closing of the qtr. This can change qtr to qtr very quickly.

Operationally without all this fair value changes of biological assets, the EPS are as below :
EPS 2Q is about 3.3 sen
EPS 1H is about 5.7 sen.
Full year 2022 may be about 10-12 sen

It is encouraging to see that it is resuming paying dividend with 1st interim of 1.5sen. If the company continue to make profit for 2H, i think there will be final dividend too. I forecast 1.5-2.0 sen for final dividend.

Base on the forecasted FY2022 EPS and dividend, there is room for share price to go higher.

Thplant is also sitting on high value palm oil lands in Peninsular with book value from only Rm10,000 to Rm15,000 per acre

any piece if sold can unlock high value like Bplant or simedarby plant

1.5 sen dividend is a starter and more dividend shouid come from Thplant

Cpo cannot fall too low unless Soyoil crash below Us30 a lb

as of now Soyoil still above Us 60 sen a lb then Cpo prices will be well supported

As for Thplant it has 240,000 acres of lands

far far more than Tmakmur, Kulim and Kwantas all combined (all less than 80,000 acres acres each) also cannot lawan Thplant

So undervalue is Thplant now don't be surprised that it will be taken private suddenly

has 240,000 acres of plantation lands in Peninsular

it has sukuk loan of Rm1.2 millions

Thplant land cost as low as Rm3k acre in East Malaysia which are leasehold

in Peninsular mostly freehold book value about Rm10k an acre

if we value these 240,000 acres at just Rm10k an acre then

240,000 x10k

= Rm2.4 Billions

less debt Rm1.2 Bilions

cash value will be Rm1.2 Billions

what is the base intrinsic value?

Rm1.2 billions divided by 883 mil paid up shares = rm1.35 per share

now if privatise value is 30% discount then it should be 95 sen a share

but of course Thplant peninsula freehold lands cannot be so low as Rm10k per acre

Boon Siew just bought palm oil lands around Rm49,000 an acre

so Thplant should worth more
