gladiator Harta results looks bad compare to Kossan where Kossan profit up almost 100% compare to previous quarter and I don't think Supermx results tomorrow can achieve this.

I just browsed through the briefing slides . I was shocked to read the Utilization rate of only 64 % which was extremely low. This account for why the revenue and earnings were below expectations despite a 50 % QOQ ASP increase. The reasons given were line shutdown for preventive maintenance and shortage of containers. The questions are.why Kossan.did not face such problems.

invest malaysia. Topglove last qtr also had a volume drop of 8 % due to covid shutdown but not as bad as Harta . I thought you have been telling me how efficient.Harta mfg was. I just bought 20 lots this morning and expected an 80 % increase in QOQ earning based on.40 % QOQ increase in ASP and 90 % utilization. The ASP increase of 50 % doesnt.disappoint me but the utilization did.

@pjseow, I believe no one expect the 64% utilization. And I don’t think is due to covid shutdown. By the way, business is business. Many things can happen. Maybe they went through a major maintenance of machines. And this doesn’t means they’re not efficient. In fact, highly automated and efficient factories in hartalega is well known. If you went to their factories, you’ll know.

Good to know you’re on board. I enter again this morning as well after the recent rally.

Most of the investors very optimist about vaccination programme in the world.. no doubt inflection rate in USA are dropping but when you know the fact, most of the people dont go for second jab.
Bear in mind, india are facing exact situation been faced by USA on last year. But situation at india are worst because of their smart PM, Modi to declare election and mutated viruses.
Just take the fact that current vaccine totally not works for mutated virus. that's why all the countries start to ban entry from india. And it already start to spread off to their neighbor country like Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and etc..
Harta QR report clearly stated asp will continue to increase and recently Mahsing also mentioned that too..
Dont forget we will have Olympic game on august..

Harta boss knows the game well. They know utilization rate is low last quarter (Jan to March) which affects their profit. They also know current quarter (April to June) will be full utilization. Next qr report will be good and they buy back a lot of their shares now.

Plant utilization rate would depend of Sales & Marketing & pricing power. Harta has done well in procuring good pricing...sometimes this can be at the expense of sales volume.I am sure sales will be better this quarter

Imagine full utilization from 64% current capacity, higher ASP, deferred sales from previous quarter shipped this quarter and maximized dividends due to massive share buy backs recently. That would impact the near term share price since the stock market is a forward looking mechanism.
