@rl68, I suspect Sri Trang has a much lower operating margin because it has major exposure to non-glove segment i.e. natural rubber supply chain. While other glove companies also have non-glove business, the contribution is smaller.

The current data may be too volatile to draw good comparison. However as ASP normalizes and margin declines in the next few quarters we might be able to differentiate their strengths. Pre-Covid Harta has the highest margin among them.

The Kuans will not be bothered by short term share price fluctuation. Harta does not need to raise capital from the market. Why do they need to talk up their share price or perform gimmicks for that purpose?

They want to attract long term investors. It's better to be truthful to the shareholders. Those who look for quick profits will jump ship now. Whoever remain or the newly joined are prepared for a tough journey.

Besides, if they don't tell the truth, the share price will still catch up sooner or later as coming quarter results are released. Keeping quiet could not change the business environment where competition is heating up.

To me who is in for the long haul, lower price means greater opportunity to average down. Of course the million dollar question here is how low will it go? When will we reached the bottom? Hovering around 7 for quite some time, I never thought it will reached 5.XX, but stranger things have happened.

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 14): The FBM KLCI fell for the third straight day to close 14.62 points or 0.93% lower at 1,555.51, dragged by decline in banking stocks and as investors gauged the possibility of a windfall tax being levied on corporate Malaysia.

The benchmark index earlier was down as much as 21.24 points or 1.35% on profit-taking, before rebounding in choppy trades in the final minutes of trading.

Decliners were led by Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd (down 3.96% or 23 sen to RM5.58), AMMB Holdings Bhd (down 3.69% or 12 sen to RM3.13) and Supermax Corp Bhd (down 3.3% or nine sen to RM2.64).

Windfall tax should apply to all individual that their salary above RM 100 K .....they earn too much ...minimum salary in Malaysia RM 1.2k 12 months ....RM 24 K .....if a person earning RM 100 K we should winfall tax the person at least RM 50 K..... I hope parliment appproved this win fall tax proposal...

If what Harta Boss said was true that ASP will be normalised by Q1 2022, then glove co will have ugly n uglier 3 to 4 Q reports to come

Interestingly price of Harta n Kossan oredi back to Mac 2020 level...how much more can they drop leh?

As for TG n Supermax where are still at May 2020 level....good luck

I think they wanted to kill the retailers...FYI there are 200% to 300% increase in the number of shareholders in all glove co last year

I believe most of them kena trapped at high price level n suffers hefty paper losses

Today trading volume low. Weak trend and weak sentiment persists. Price trend reminds me of Genting share in mid/late 2020, when shares are traded at low RM3. Unlike Genting, I expect Harta share to recover at a slower pace since we are currently at the peak with red 3 and 4 Q report inkambing. Gonna be a rough 2021-2022 for gloves holder.

Also if the gov really wants to impose windfall tax, they are at least a year too late.

Bursa is a small market, more susceptible to manipulation, but I think it is more of retailers panicking and selling than manipulation from a few big brothers. Lot's of retailer jumped into the 2020 glove frenzy and are looking to offload before hitting the bottom. Facing weak sentiments most retailers either (1) cut loss or (2) keep in freezer no eye see. With Harta's boss recent speech more retailers are rushing to cut loss. To me the market overcorrects making current price very attractive despite facing lower ASP, China threat, windfall tax etc.

The weak sentiment will persists for another year or so, but if you have holding power, it is worth buying at low price and keep in "no-eye-see" section of the freezer for a few years.

Well said, Charles. Any increase in price will be considered opportunity for these holders to offload & escape.

All glove stocks are now back on earth, no more dancing music, no more quick money.

existing & interested investors need to make wise investing decisions at longer time horizon, may be 3 years?

If one believed Harta was doing very well before pandemic (better & higher margin performance), then he must calculate & decide where Harta can go.
