The movement fro RM5 to RM7 shows that if there is another scare like Omricon in the future, this jump could happen again. Otherwise, once it bottoms out, it will probably move sideways until slowly moving up again. RM7 would seem to be a reasonable target sometime in the hopefully not so distant future.

It may not easy for gloves to have such big jump again even if we have another news such as Omicron in future. It is because majority those jumped in with the hope of earning quick buck are trapped or may have cut loss. Furthermore, the jump was lasted for 2 days only. Once bitten twice shy. Better be prepared to invest for mid to long term if put money here.

@everest29029 There may be a few who want the pandemic to prolong just to earn a small profit, but most of us have the opposite mindset. While Covid19 was responsible for the "glove goreng of 2020", 2021 is a terrible year for glove. Prices of many glove counters are far below its fair value, and would be at least 50% higher if it is not weighted by poor sentiments. Most long-term investors want the pandemic to be over as soon as possible, so that prices will reflect the company's fundamentals.

Well said Bang Miskin. 50% above current price of say RM5.60 will bring it to RM8.40. Hopefully, it will recover to those levels when all the uncertainty clears up.

Until then any drop below RM5.00 should be treated as a buying opportunity.

RSS really good in their strategy.... Shorting top glove aka the leader while buying kossan, hartalega in cheap to fill back their position... Just curious, who is selling to them, I doubt any retailer is selling at this price.

Dont listen to averaging down nonsense unless u are Jho Low and has tons of money to burn. if keep averaging down, really go Holland. Everyday slipped 1-2%. After the speculative investment died off, the price only will lay flat. So many companies are getting into gloves companyaround the world and our local gov imposed higher tax and stamp duty for companies. Smart companies sure will go India or Vietnam to invest there. That's how I invest, set cut loss point at 8-15%. Why chasing low when it is sliding, it is going to be mayhem.

I think its not wrong to average down but have to determine how much is the comfortable amount of fund that probably will be stuck in a particular stock for some time. Only averaging down on stock that have good fundamental and visible future growth.

Donwards momentum still strong. May not be the best idea to average down now. I will wait for a bit before entering. I suspect may reached the range of RM5.00-5.2X before showing signs of rebound.

Average down is reasonable for a kaunter like Harta, good fundamentals and cashflow and decent mid-term prospect. I can average down this counter and sleep soundly at night. If you average down Harta from RM18 in 2020, then you have the right to worry since pre-pandemic price is around RM5.50 or so. If average down below RM5 or RM4 why worry? Lol
