Previous quarterly results announced in 10 May, not even 3 full months has passed, yet someone said "missed dateline" and concluded that it is going to holland with results announcement only coming end of month. I guess this is how false rumor start to spread.

I'm also cautiously optimistic to see some profits, would need extra explanations from management if there are losses. QR should come before end of the week, whether today or not, nobody knows. DYOR, be responsible for your own money/investment, you dont know which strangers online holds stocks or don't. Trolls everywhere.

Hartalega last quarter reporting losses RM197millions due to one off cukai makmur but operating profits continue to falls from quarter to quarter....Next quarter profits definitely lower than tis quarter as production costs keep increasing and ASP still declining

Last qr was not negative lah. still profitable, they just pay the cukai makmur. last qr profit was RM202m, not negative. It is a drop in profit.

Do you even read? Harta QR drops, last qr profit was RM202m (was negative RM200m after they pay cukai makmur), this qr is RM88m. So, the profit drops.

Harta prospect is good.
The Group is cautiously optimistic of the longer-term prospects of the sector, given the expected continued post-pandemic growth in demand for rubber gloves.

The quarterly report mentions a decrease in sales volume by 28%.

Based on my record, the shipment Q1FY22 was 10.09 billion. It means Q1FY23 shipment was 7.26 billion.

The report does not mention new capacity coming online, so can assume it remains unchanged at 43 billion. The utilization was therefore 7.26/ (43/4) = about 68% (assume shipment and production at the same rate).

If my calculation is right, this would be lower than historical standard. It is about the same level as Kossan's latest quarter.

It's much better than Top Glove which was about 56% in last quarter, not a surprise given Top Glove expanded aggressively, and is also catching up on the lost share in the US market.

RM88mil is after tax, ofcourse people compare to profit after cukai makmur la. Pakai la otak and mata bila baca. If you want to compare PBT, it was a drop from 218mil (22% margin) to 134mil (15% margin).

It looks negative when you zoom in and do analysis on just 2 quarters. But bearing covid in mind, it is pleasant to see that while our lives have gone back to normal, Harta is still making more than pre-covid. Just zoom out and look at August 2019, you will notice there is an increased in revenue and profit despite lower profit margin. Management has communicated about the falling margin and we can only hope that this stabilises over the next few quarters.

I don't see major negatives based on my own reading and comments here so far. Feel free to enlighten me if you have different views.
