1. Is Harta facing fundamental issues?
2. Are these industry related or company specific?
3. Are these temporary or permanent?
4. Are the company's balance sheet adequate to see it through this trying period?
5. Is the management proactive and capable in steering this company through this period?
6. Finally, is the price today crazy, fair, or ridiculous?


A good investor has the courage to act based on his own facts, findings and thinking, and does not need to seek comfort from others' opinions.

You can check China glove manufacturers like intco to see whether their quarter to quater revenue drop like what experience by Harta, topglov, kossan and Supermax to understand how much Malaysia top 4 had lost the market shares to China glove manufacturers

In addition follow up on the comment by Investor2021trading, the issue of quality did raised up in the US market as FDA does have a stringent requirement on the quality of gloves. Cheaper price of china gloves, does it compromise the quality of the gloves?

Need to look in the long run on the competition between china and malaysia gloves manufacturers in term of mass production and quality wise. It is still unclear which are the survival of the fittest.

My only hope is the government will value the gloves industry in the country. If our own government is not protecting our own industry that contributed good revenue to the country, how are they, the gloves manufacturers able to put up a good fight against the competitors especially China for a bigger gloves market shares.

Bigger isn't always better. Topglove is bigger than Harta, but Harta has a higher profit margin and thus is more expensive (higher P/E ratio). Yes we should be concerned with China production capability (e.g. Intco), but as long as we can hold our ground and make a decent profit, we're all good.

While Harta price may fall in near future, I think it's crazy cheap. Just my 2 cents
