if the goods manufactured or produced in other countries, then it is able to bypass the tariff increase.

if the goods manufactured or produced in China, but using another countries as transit point, then it won't be able to bypass. It will be a slight decrease in profit. Nevertheless, they are still cheaper than any other competitors as their input costs is superb low. They still can afford to adjust the selling price lower.

Mr.Goh their price is low because of scales, energy subsidy and very low interest borrowing from china. That's provided they operate in china yea. When they come out they lose majority of walking sticks.

Working culture will be different, no energy subsidy, potential workers problem, Logistic problem. I dont understand why u can say there will be slight decrease in profit.

Do you guys think glove can be for long term hold? Base on following factors:
1) Tariff "protection" from US since USTR review their tariff every 4 years.
2) Destruction of China glove manufacturers. Intco alone produce 75bill gloves annually. That is enough for Msia & Thai glove makers to shares around.
3) Possible tariff from Canada and EU since tariff on China is in the agenda following US lead.

Depends on the lead time from order to delivery. If the contena arrive in US port 2025, they will get tax. So they have about 3 months. Moreso with the Red Sea crisis and the shipping lane is longer, delivery time is delayed. Don't think they would take such risk.
