Bought 13 lots of this for the dividend in '21 @ 56.4c avg. I was prepared for a long wait to recover my capital but lo & behold, I was browsing Bursa announcements & noticed loo hooi keat buying & divided his purchase layout by the no. of shrs @ got a shock that it was almost 60c! SOLD first thing in the morning so recovered my capital back & kept the dividend :)

Pelikan said to be on the verge of major asset sale

According to several sources, the major asset disposal that Pelikan is working on could fetch more than RM 500 million cash.

If the deal is successful, Pelikan will exit its core stationary business, which is the 180-year old Pelikan brand from Germany. It will become a cash rich listed shell,sources say.

Experience tells us, when the news is out and the stock price has reached its maximum, little chance the price will move up higher.
The last time company disposed its assets and distributed 20c dividend, its share price stayed at 20c on and after ex dividend date for a long time.
