The economic planning body is considering capping the price at which miners can sell thermal coal to alleviate pressure on power producers. China is also urging miners to deliver about an additional 100 million tons of the fuel by the end of the year to help meet winter demand.

Potential of additional 350M in tax under prosperity tax. That is potentially 6c of dividend gone. Unless they dig into their reserves. With epf selling and no new foreign fund want to touch it, can it break rm9? will be interesting to see. Also, Jan 2022 RP3 supposed to be announce. What moves do you thing government will take since election will be just around the corner. Let TNB raise electrcity?

TNB had subsidies the electricity announced by the govt in 2020 and 2021. In 2020 audited report, TNB had subsidies RM250mil.

Govt didn't announced any further electricity subsidy in 2022. In other words, this Prosperity tax more like a substitution for the electricity subsidy TNB give in 2020 and 2021. In my opinion, the impact of this Prosperity tax in TNB will be much lesser than the other bluechips counter.

Well is still a negative sentiment, cant help it.

Already subsidizing the bills, then the pros. tax, and then now the back taxes. The latest one looks like desperate attempts to raise money to finance the bloated budget. The repercussions of poor financial management going to be wide and severe, ranging from lower dividends, less confidence in the market, foreigners side-stepping us for others and much more.

tat;s very sad, but true....maybe can consider to wait for another 12 months of dividend (to minimise the loss taken), and then quit this counter for overseas market...losing hope everyday, as despite the news of recovery, nothing seems to change for the share price.
