（吉隆坡8日讯）致力成为斯里兰卡首家4GLTE服务供应商的Dialog亚通，数年内不会为母公司--亚通（Axiata，6888，主板贸服股）贡献很多收入。

据《The Edge》报道，亚通不预见4GLTE服务会即刻被广泛使用，但随着数据需求增长，以及LTE手机和设备售价更可负担，公司相信此服务中期内会有不错的市场反应。

亚通指出，斯里兰卡出现一个正面的趋势，也就是当地人如今更积极“追寻数据”。

亚通说：“2012年间，Dialog的数据增长了50%，虽然基础还很小。我们希望数据服务能够维持此增长动力。”

本地电讯领域分析员则认为，赢得4GLTE的10MHz频谱虽对Dialog有利，但不会为亚通带来很大的影响。

手握2.1亿现金

其中一名分析员说：“发展中国家如斯里兰卡，手机互联网数据使用量仍然很小。”

虽然已有更多人追随互联网数据，而Dialog也拥有55%市占率，但相对于姐妹公司天地通（Celcom Axiata）和XL亚通（XL Axiata），Dialog所录得的净利仍然比较小。

但亚通指出，Dialog虽短期内不会贡献很多收入，公司也不会有很大的融资问题。

“Dialog已经拥有现代化的网络，不需要为4G服务做出庞大的资本开支。”

达证券行分析员指出，截至去年底，Dialog拥有86.5亿斯里兰卡卢比（约2.1亿令吉）现金，足以融资新频谱资产，无需筹资。

Ministry approves XL Axiata-Axis telekom merger. Axiata’s Indonesian unit XL Axiata has secured official approval from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to acquire Axis Telekom Indonesia, the company’s chief confirmed on Friday. Axiata Group, which has a 66.5% stake in XL Axiata, has reportedly offered to acquire Axis Telecom, which is 84% controlled by Saudi Telecom Company. The merger is said to give the Indonesian operator access to the mobile-phone frequencies it requires to expand in the competitive Indonesian market. (Jakarta Globe)

After holding this for 4 + years, Grandma will be releasing the last of Telco grade counter at 6.90 hopefully next week. Grandma too would like to do readjustment. This type of stock pick will prove Koon Yew Yin ideology right though Grandma do not think he bought into this counter.
Grandma feel the global business is heating up and challenges will continue with more man made crisis. For those following TPPA should also weigh in on the idea behind the globalization.

Ameerah, You can study the below graph for this stock... but if you have any further questions, please call up Dato Jamal, the CEO of Axiata directly for further details :) Don't worry, he is such a friendly person. Before he joined Axiata, he was Maxis' CEO. Axiata is a new company name given by him :). Likewise for Maxis, before that, the company was called Binariang Bhd.

the listing of tower assets is imminent. Axiata had promoted their CFO to be the CEO of new unit e.co, to lead the charge for passive network structure.

I think EPF is doing dispose now due to the poor internet and line quality.Due to overwhelming users arise but service provider cannot afford to handle the data transmission,lots of users already doing complaint.Most of the northern region users,especially Penang and Kedah only manage to get Edge to HSDPA speed,sometimes even no connection at all.The service only focus at KL state but very lousy at others area.I think if you use his phone service possibly only manage to contact hospital only.
