sharkirin

ok I googled and found that the last offer was made in July 15, 2008 at offer price of RM0.50 per mother share and RM0.01 per warrant

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 14:50 | Report Abuse

Is anybody here. I still don't understand why wa would down since the mother up. There is explanation above, but I still can't catch it. It drops so much for wa and does it worth to buy in?

When prices drop drastically don't jump in. Do your homework. If not you will lose more than gain.

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 15:08 | Report Abuse

There are not much i could learn from the profile though. cck321. sure i will notice it in a few days to see it's movement first. cck321 did you hold zecon-wa?

warrant is down because the major shareholders are only offering 5 sen per share. more info http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business-news/246026-zecon-warrant-holders-hit-in-privatisation-deal.html

based on the strike price of RM1.06 and a conversion ratio of 1 to 1, the warrant is trading at 89% premium to its price of 22 sen... (RM1.06 + RM0.22 = RM1.28 whereas the mother share is only RM0.74 today)

if the deal fails the wrts got value or else 5cts

sharkirin

price now RM0.74, still got 6 sens to push.. personally I think their offer is fair...

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 15:53 | Report Abuse

I really don't understand. since the warrant is so undervalued. why would it priced so high before?

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 15:53 | Report Abuse

cck321. soon it would be a great opportunity to enter if it drops 5 sen!!

sharkirin

people usually play warrant with no intention of exercising it.. that's why you can see the price is more than the mother share... in zecon's case, the players went 'crazy buying' and drove the price to extreme high

If it drops to 5sen and the deal aborted.

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 16:00 | Report Abuse

I just read the news.. they seem want to privatise the companies? So they would just pay 5 sen to any shareholders for the warrant?

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 16:00 | Report Abuse

and they won't wait the warrant mature on 2017?

richman

they are trying privatise bcos zecon got lot of projects in hand and also nta of 1.20cts.they just want to unlock the value by buying cheap annd later probably relisting it.bloody crooks

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 16:06 | Report Abuse

not really understand.. if they wanna privatise, i believezecon wa would gone right, and they would at least pay 5 sen to every shareholders? how about etitech that happened recently, they had been delisted. would they be relisted again anytime soon?

richman are u not happy with the privatisation offer? zecon's share is not liquid before the announcement, barely any movement. now lot of trading interest plus they are giving premium of 17% (based on closing price yesterday RM0.68). beats saving in FD anytime!

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 16:09 | Report Abuse

sharkirin. how about all those get burnt in zecon-wa.. 20 sen to 8 sen now.

Sharkirin, when they are privatise, would zecon still listed there? or when they delisted, they would pay 74 sen to shareholders?

beginner: if you bought zecon wa yesterday at 0.22 then the owner said he wants to buy at 0.05, would you cut loss as well? once the deal is on, there will be no exercise at all. you will only get 0.05 for every wa u own. that's 77% loss.. adoi

those who bought wrt yesterday die hard should cut loss at in the morn at 11-12 cts.wrt holders are usually shortchanged

if the privatization goes thru, every shareholder will get RM0.80 for every zecon share they own. the counter will be gone from bursa.

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 16:16 | Report Abuse

i know sharkirin.. the previous shooting price to 20 sen were crazy. I am sorry for the people who bought it.. sharkirin, when would we know the deal?

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 16:16 | Report Abuse

if the deal is on, since they are going privatise, would zecon still listed?

usually deal will take two months unless they want to extend the offer. to beginner if you want to know more about the deal, you can read news about ingress (extended but gain success), or misc (aborted because shareholders rejected). misc's price dropped heavily after deal fell thru

Posted by Beginner1989 > 2013-07-16 16:23 | Report Abuse

if the deal is on.. they are going to privatise, from my own understanding.. their shares zecon would be delisted.. so every shareholders would be given 80 sen per share. am i right? So it is great opportunity to go in zecon right =.=

it is a good opportunity IF it goes thru, remember some shareholders may not agree and reject it. study misc's case
