YANGON (Xinhua): More than 2.2 million doses of Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines donated by China through the COVAX Facility arrived in Myanmar's Yangon on Wednesday (March 30), according to the Information Ministry.
China has announced donations of 5.7 million doses of its Sinopharm vaccine. The shot is not the preferred one for many Vietnamese, but it is helping to fill local supply gaps and is playing an increasing role in Vietnam's inoculation campaign, which started later than those in some other countries.
PHNOM PENH (Xinhua): A special plane carrying a new batch of China-donated Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines arrived in the capital of Cambodia Wednesday (March 31) night, giving the country bigger possibility to inoculate its citizens against Covid-19.
I'm sure even Africa is getting those latest and up-dated vaccine. Furthermore, Africa continent has the lowest number of Covid infections in the world.
China has invested heavily in Africa. They have provided the Vaccines long ago.
You just cannot take Africa as your backyard dumpster anymore.
i3lurker...apek ah..entire Africa only half population is fully vaccinated. In many African countries, the percentage even lower. You can Google news report that show how the African countries are ramping up the vaccination programme now.
And think about it, even if China wants to donate to Africa, why should it spend to produce new vaccines? Might as well pay Pharma and other manufacturers who have existing stock to supply to these countries
previously : Ltat>60%Boustead>60%Pharma now : Ltat>Boustead>60%Pharma Ltat needs not more than $300mil to take over Pharma at 0.50/shr. Ltat fund close to 10bil
