The other company that did the same fire claims is LCHEONG. But in the second fire claim, the insurer Hong Leong Assurance refused to pay and the two are now fighting the case in the High Court of Seremban. The last trial was on April 2, 2014.
Look at LCHEONG shares price now, 0.185 !

Can't wait to see if Liihen insurer declines the claim

More convinced now than in February, after witnessing the SECOND fire in the company.

A check with the Annual Report confirmed Chan Keng Chung is one of the top shareholders in Liihen. He himself has said he is selling out Liihen on Feb 24.

Some more want to defend the sinking ship now the top shareholder also cabut liao ?

Lii Hen relocates some production to another facility near its factory

PETALING JAYA: Lii Hen Industries Bhd said it has relocated some of its production to a facility nearby after its factory in Muar, Johor, caught fire last Thursday.

It told Bursa Malaysia in a filing that its subsidiary – Lii Hen Furniture Sdn Bhd – had rented a production plant at Plo 47, Bukit Pasir Industrial Estate from another subsidiary, Favourite Design Sdn Bhd, which has a production line available for use.

Favourite Design had in January shifted its main operations to a newly completed plant at GM347, Lot 1915, Mukim of Sungai Raya, Muar, Johor. Lii Hen Furniture resumed operations yesterday at the rented premises, which covers about 70% to 80% of capacity.

Arrangements have been made to outsource the balance 20% to 30% of capacity to sub-contractors, the company said.

That mean the factory that was razed by fire was occupied by Lii Hen Furniture (the main subsidiary which covered 20.39% of total lamehen turnover and 21.63% of lamehen group net profit). The move to Favourite Design old production line can only recover 80% of their yield with the balance having to depend on outsourcing. It is therefore safe to conclude that this fire will dampen lamehen profitability and revenue going forward until the fire claims are settled and new replacement lines and building are up.

So expect an ugly financial performance for 2014 from this lame and limping hen
