I think currency exchange will losses or gain will not be shown in current qr, there is always a delay of 1q or 2q .

I dont think investor should be overly optimistic.
In my opinion, it's super difficult to exceed QOQ result since 4Q is always a strong season. I think it's probably good enuf to just maintain it.
If 2017 Q1 can maintain QOQ, then 2017 Q4 sure bright result =D

My 2 cent is it really doesnt matter what you guys think because there is always a estimation by analyst and if the result is below expectation then what do guys think the market is going to react?

Analysts usually looking at YoY results. Last year 1Q revenue 119million with Net profit of 2.1million. This will be far exceeded. Since last FY 4Q is exceptionally good with revenue of 196mil and net profit of 23mil, don't expect such a good result in the coming Quarter. But if it delivers as good, the share price will shoot. Even If it delivers 3-4 Sen per share Net, it should be inline as 2ND half should be better with voluminous projects and ODM projecy come online. Kenanga IB only first forecasted full year EPS=17.3sen, PE15 price 2.60 and later revised TP to 2.86, meant EPS 19.1 if maintain PE15.

I am looking at FY17 earnings as a whole which should be good.... It may deliver pleasant surprise in the coming Quarter....which would be a bonus....:)

Charles, already announced first and finally dividend for FY16 of 5 Sen Single tier pending announcement of entitlement date. Last FY EPS is 9.5sen; dividend payout still maintain at more than 50%....This year if the EPS is around 20 Sen or more, can expect 10sen dividend or better...:)

Its not confirmed yet.. just like previous year they proposed 25ct but in they end they gave out 35ct , 10 more than they originally proposed.

if you're referring to trend of their dividend announcement, it's usually end April up till early May. So i guess it should be soon. Problem is how much dividend to declare....

I am really puzzled by you guys who said that the announcement of the final dividend payment is not confirmed! The proposed dividend was announced on 3rd April for FY 16. I have not come across any company that announced dividend payment and then changed the quantum of payment later upon determination of the entitlement and payment dates.

If a company wishes to pay additional dividend, they can always do so by giving and announcing another dividend payment on top of what has been announced.

Jarongan quoted that there was a case where PIE first announced 25 Sen and later increased it to 35 Sen... but I checked the bursamalaysia announcement and can't find such case..

If you can quote me the relevant announcements, I would appreciate it...:)

Anyway, should be happy with the 5 Sen dividend for FY 16 as the EPS is 9.5 Sen.. This FY17 with expected much better earnings, we can expect better dividends..the dividend payout ratio of PIE is always about 50+%....:)

Dr Neoh Soon Kean invested in this company since 2007 and never sell. Checked the annual report year 2016 Neoh Mah Ee and Company shareholding among the 30 largest shareholders.

Another investor invested in this company as early as 2000, this investor holds more than 10 million shares.

I was not that early as them but on 17 Apr 2012 at RM4870. At that time, its share price did not move much but paid much higher div 20 to 35 cent(before adjustment with bonus and subdivision).

freehooi81, I bought substantial amount in 2005. Made 10% and sold. Regreted so much and then dared not look at pie anymore..... I bot and sold this year at 183... then again bot and sold 230 barely broke even as no confidence... as the share had gone up 6-7 folds compared to what I sold in 2005....finally I ended up bot back at 238-240! Those real long term investors are paid off handsomely by just holding on with their shares....

The last Q earnings (4QFY16) could be a good indication that the company is going back on an exciting growth trajectory..

Hopefully, this could be another more exciting growth phase.... :)
