profit mostly from "other operating income" without much explanation. Anybodycan shed lights on what is "realising market value" that the company mentioned about? or just another gimmick to manipulate the earning?

Could be a revaluation of property or asset exercise. Actual earnings from operating income is about 2eps only if not mistaken

The "other operating income" was there too the last Qr. The account was audited. Don't think it's any foul play.

Good results nowadays is used to trap those small ikan bilis into the net while the big sharks slowly lock in with higher profits to secure their financials gains . The reverse of it should be read instead.

Obviously 2 days ago was a trap when there is no push to the upside after the gap. Many day traders love to play during earnings especially when a counter reported amazing earnings. That day was a set up to kill those traders who enter their position too early during the gap up hoping to make a quick buck but back fire. Is not just atta.. penta, straits and deleum as well. Few days before atta most of the counter with great earnings gap up and ran without a problem like edgenta, gas malaysia, ssteel and many more. More like a set up to me to make this traders oblivious and earn from them cashing out

I believe it has to do with the drop in prices of other major Steel companies such as Press Metal, Masteel etc. coupled with overall bearish market due to drastic drop of the US market. I hope such phenomenal is temporary in view of the fundamentals available in Atta.

I thought steel price doesn’t affect ATTA anymore as it doesn’t solely depend on steel business currently, it has already diversified its business to property development which contributed more than 25% of profit during last QR.

Generally, the investing public still consider Atta as a Steel company until the development starts to generate bigger percentage of income for the company. If you refer to their web site, the core business is still steel related.
