Nancy姐, They are More likely contracted the virus while jammed in Detention Center. Close proximity all the time to others. They are not allowed to wander all over the airport touching this and that! Think about it!

Who can please explain how did the detainees got infected?Aren't the detainees tested whilst under detention and those infected were separated and treated before deportation?Were they infected whilst under detention?hmmmm

The Movement Control Order (MCO) and Conditional MCO (CMCO) have been successful in bringing down the number of Covid-19 cases in the country, but the authorities remained alert as hari Raya Aidilfitri looms.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the authorities were currently focused on compliance of CMCO's standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), in the hope of containing the infection further.

"Screening process for eight risk groups are also ongoing. We have yet to calculate the (ministry modeling of Covid-19's) R-naught (R0), but it currently stands at around 0.3," he told a Press conference today.

R0, which represents how many people an average person with a virus can infect, has been reduced to less than 1, compared to 3.55 before the MCO was enforced.

That means, prior to MCO, one individual could infect 3.55 persons, according to the ministry's modeling of Covid-19.

"Most of the recorded new Covid-19 cases were imported, which were from those returning from abroad. What is more important is for us to maintain the double digit figure (of the number of cases); and maybe reduce the number further in one or two days," said Dr Noor Hisham.

He said the country had managed to reach double digit in daily Covid-19 cases during the MCO and CMCO.

"That means, the MCO and CMCO had been successful. Our concern now, however, is the festivities, whether there would be an increase in cases or we'll be able to maintain the double digit (in daily cases).

"We are concerned that the cases may increase if we do not comply with the SOP, which is seemingly simple, yet tough to adhere to.

"Everyone already knows what to do, but they (SOPs) need to be practised to make them a norm before we can even discuss on exit strategy."

He said the ministry would draft an exit strategy only when there was a better SOP compliance among the public and further reduced number of Covid-19 cases.

Since interstate travel has been banned and the borders are secure, perhaps we may need different SOP for the affected states according to the severity of infection.

Surely there must be social and economic advantage to live in a green zone?
We ought to take advantage of that and allow the country to benefit from it.

Otherwise, the whole country would simply sink to the worst common denominator.

KennyDowJones, If still no exit strategy being pre-planned; things can become chaotic when we need one when the ccmo ends probably after raya/Gawai/Keamatan. Students need to go back to school; construction works also need to continue unabated 24 hours a day so that economic development can gain pace and momentum.

Yeah guiss, We hope the MOH will consider relaxing rules with regards to barbers and hairdressers. It has been 2 months. many members of the public are struggling to manage their hair and appearance. Furthermore, hairdressers and barbers have lost their income in the last 2 months. It is only fair for all parties that they be allowed to operate with all the SOPs in place. And we hope it will be soon

The curve of infections must be flattened naturally i.e. while the economy is open.

Red Zones can be circled by barbed wire and put under lockdown.

Despite the need of compliance, but I hope that Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah doesn't see the covid-19 epidemic as his personal fight and glory only.

Slowly I get the impression that he is too much eager to proove the rest of the world that the success of Malayaian's lockdown is based only on him. For example, he keeps talking we need to live with a new norm. But at same time, he says he wants to reduce the new infection rate to 1 digit and able to eliminate the virus it in the long-term. China Wuhan city new Covid-19 cases recently prooves the viurs will not dissapear anymore, but rather we have to live with it until we find a vaccine which might takes 1-2 years or longer. So far, there is still no vaccine for Sars-1, Mers, HIV and neither Malaria.

Keep extending MCO/CMCO and we will fall back into stone age century: Operation successful patient died....

Is this what we want?

The ICPS can be converted into new Ageson Shares at the conversion price of RM0.13 ("Conversion Price") in the following manner: i. by surrendering 13 ICPS to be converted into 1 new Ageson Share; or ii. a combination of such number of ICPS and cash with an aggregate value equal to the Conversion Price, subject to a minimum of 1 ICPS surrendered, and paying the difference between the aggregate value of the ICPS surrendered and the Conversion Price in cash for 1 new Ageson Share.
